It was one of the normal Saturdays yesterday, go to town, fall into Boswells for a cappuccino and then do shopping, but then when we came out of Morrisons the weather had really changed.

It was like a scene from the film The Fog with the so damp and people driving around at twenty past four with their headlights, someone needs to tell them that it makes it worse doing that!

On the way home it was horrible, people driving slowly, too slowly really, it took ages to get home and what made it worse is I had to drive down a dark, narrow country lane to get home and yes you guessed it, people driving the other way with their headlights full on, but at least I got home safe and sound with no dealings with scary pirates coming out of the mist

Ok, so I’ve mentioned this early in my last post, but now I have an update for you, I have just joined PayingPost, which allows you to take opportunities to review websites, products and much more and best of all you get paid for doing it.

Get paid to blog

I found the site while surfing the net and decided yesterday to join up, so, I simply filled in my details, name, blog URL, PayPal Address (to get paid) and then that was it and then just waited for my blog to be approved, now with sites like these I’ve waited up to and over a week to be approved, but, this morning I got an email letting me know that my blog had been approved, how quick is that, fast or what ;)

The site is very easy to navigate and it’s quick, you select which opportunities you wish to do and then your off to type your review etc, this to me is probably one of the easiest and straight forward sites that I have seen for a while and is ideal to find a great selection of advertising for blogs.

So my advice would be to get on over to PayingPost and sign up your blog today and they even have a section advertisers so they can also Advertise on PayingPost blog network.

For those who have been looking around the net and have not long signed up to the website Matched, then you may or may not know that the site, which had been in a Beta mode for a while, has now decided to close it’s doors.

I myself had not long signed up and though had waited ages for something to happen, wasn’t really that surprised to see that the site had closed.

It is with much regret that we announce that Matched.co.uk has closed.Matched has been running as a beta experiment for some time and, after much careful consideration, it has been decided not to progress the project to the next stage.

As a result, Matched will not be accepting new sign-ups and will no longer be assigning adverts to its current publisher base.

So now it’s time for bloggers to look for some kind of revenue to help support they’re blogging, so, here are my recommendations:

  1. Google Adsense – One of my all time favourites.
  2. SponsoredReviews – This has been quite a good one so far for me.
  3. Smorty – Make money blogging and advertising
  4. WP125 – This is great for adding and running your own 125×125 ad service, highly recommended.
  5. Amazon – Yes they do an associates program which a host of options.
  6. TradeDoubler – Another one of my favourites with a great collection of affiliates such as iTunes, Play.com and stacks more to choose from.
  7. PayPal – Yes, PayPal, by adding a Make A Donation button you can sometimes find that someone who appreciates your work will make some sort of donation ;)

So don’t sit idol with your blog, help it make it pay it’s way, I’m not saying you will be a multi-millionaire, but even if it covers your web hosting etc, then surely that’s a bonus in itself.

Today I received a package in the post with some very tasty snacks from Wholebake to taste thanks to those fantastic loving people over at FuelMyBlog.

They are called 9 Bar Original and are from Wholebake a company that has been around for 20 years and is based in Corwen, North Wales, which is not that far from where I live.

There are three bars in a pack and believe me when I say they are absolutely delicious, they are ‘seed’ bars which are a really healthy thing these days for you to eat.

The bars are topped with Carob, which looks like chocolate on the bar, they consist of many different seeds which include: Sunflower seeds, Pumpkin seeds, Carob topping, Honey, Raw cane sugar, All vegetable margarine, Dehulled hemp seeds (3%), Sesame seeds, Poppy seeds.

They are slightly chewey, but they do not stick to the roof of your mouth like some other bars I could mention and they taste lovely, I would describe it as a slight nutty taste with a sweet after taste, the bars are ideal for vegetarians and are gluten, dairy and wheat free.

One bar is plenty as they may be small, but, they are very filling, I would personally recommend these bars to everyone, stop eating those packets of crisps or given your kids sweets with god only knows what preservatives and colours in, go out and get your hands on some of these bars instead, they are much better for you.

You can get the bars in several varieties of 9-bar, Original, Nutty, Flax & Pumpkin and the Original 9-bar is available in Waitrose, Asda, Tesco, Morrison’s and Holland and Barrett as well as over 1,000 independent helth food shops across the UK.
