Many years ago I did dabble in the fantasy world of online gaming, but since those days I haven’t been to far of places with sword in hand and battled against many wondrous characters.
But recently I was told about Algadon, which is a free online, which is a real benefit as it’s not going to cost you anything, web browser-based, fantasy game based in the medieval and mystical land of Algadon.
So what better opportunity to stop by and check it out and bring my readers a review of the site, so with that it mind, here we go.
Upon loading the site, I noticed how crisp and clean it looked with great looking graphics and simple to find links to the many section of Algadon, you even get, in true fantasy style, a back story to the world in three sections, “A Thousand Years Ago”, “Three Hundred Years Ago” and “Present” and they got me hooked into the timeline.
Playing the game is easy to pick up, as with the majority of role-playing games, with earning attack points (hitpoints) and earning from quests that you can do throughout the game, all very addictive and fun to play. There are even well designed character classes that you can go through ranging from Mage, Dragon, Elemental Forest Princess, Assassin and loads more all with their own specialities and ratings according to hitpoints etc.
You can battle against other players, post messages, buy weapons, battle against boss beasts and monsters as well as performing a multitude of tasks. You can even purchase items such as weapons, spells, armour and more from some of the shops that can be found in the game.
The rules of the game are simple and should be easy to adhere to and by playing Algadon you are agreeing to them, which should be too hard as there only a few, but they do consist of things such as been respectful to other gamers and not spamming others, both of which I do think are very important.
You’ll also find that the site has a forum, where like minded players can get in touch with each other with questions etc about the game, which is a really nice touch for the site for players to interact even more.
Also, if you are on MySpace there is also a Algadon MySpace App, which allows you to play a slightly different version of the game through MySpace, I also believe that there are version on the iPhone and Android as well. It’s really simple to play and for those of you who do like to play free games on the net, then you should check Aldagon out, you may just find that you enjoy it more than you thought you would

I’m a big fan of fantasy RPG’s and this game sounds nice. I like that fact that it’s free, unlike WoW for example, where you have to pay quite a lot per month. I definitely gonna give this a try.

Hi Andi, thanks for stopping by, hope you enjoy it
Stumbled and bookmarked for myself! There was a time when I went through a real “I’d like to find a community in a game world” phase – I played EVE online (was a guild head there) & Anarchy Online. Enjoyed both, but found that gamers are a peculiar bunch, and that I wanted to read more than talk to many of them.
This looks really interesting. I’ll check it out.

These web-browser based games are nice and entertaining but are addictive. I played a few games like this but eventually I abandoned all of them because they required to much time and I prefer to spend my time with more important things
