Are we all getting addicted to the Social Networks!
Posted by Karen in Internet, blogging, tags: blogging, Facebook, MySpace, social networks, Twitter, YouTubeNow probably like me your are listed on sites such as MySpace, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter etc, but can these site become a bit of an addiction?
Speaking from experience I have become a bit of Twitter addict over the last few months and twitting when I’m out and about and even twitting my posts from this blog.
My uses of Facebook and Myspace has dwindled over the last twelve months or so, but I still use MySpace as a heavy promoting vehicle for the music of Remergence.
But is there such a thing of belonging to too many of the social network sites, I myself have lost count on how many I actually belong to and if it was not for sites such as ping.fm I would probably have problems trying to update them all.
So what do you think? Are you addicted to letting people know that you’ve just had a biscuit on the train home? Or do you think belong to too many social network site? Or maybe you don’t belong to enough?

Too many is a vast understatement! I’m sure it’s like this for many musicians like you and I and it really does get so crazy with the endless recommendations and bloglinks and followed discussions and emails and shouts and your own sites to keep up and the occasional stalker and troller and all that madness! LOL!!

Here Here, from one twitter addict to another. I will have to check out Ping.fm since I use digsby for some stuff, and wordpress for others. I don’t use MySpace or Facebook, but have linkedIn, Wordpress, Twitter, Digg…etc

I don’t have time much for the social networks since I started blogging and joined Entrecard. It pretty much takes up 95% of my computer time.

I haven’t joined twitter yet, but I do use facebook and myspace. I have notivced that my use of both siutes has dwindled since starting my blog, but in general people were usingi t less leading up to that. I don’t think there are too many social sites. That would be like saying there are too many ways to make friends and meet new people, y’know? Of course, there’s no need to let the world know everytime you blink…lol
