Blogger Interview With The Pensive One

It’s been a while since we did any Blogger Interviews here on Blazing Minds, so after a long hiatus from series, it is time bring you a little bit of information from some of the bloggers from around the world that have taken time to stop by and let us know about themselves.

In this, the first of the “new” series, we bring you a Blogger Interview “The Pensive One”

Please tell my readers a little something about yourself?

I enjoy words and the sheer pleasure of putting them into lines and phrases therefore I am a poetess known as The Pensive One. My passion is poetry, my life is poetry, my therapy is poetry. I am mostly known online and aspire to someday in the near future publish my own anthology of writes. I am a very observant human being and constantly find myself just taking in the world and internalizing everything. I strive towards optimism and saving the planet and inspiring people to do the same.

So tell me about your blog, when and why you started it and how you came up with the name for it?

It’s a poetry blog where I post mostly poetry and musings of my life and on the side, my YouTube channel will appear where I sometimes do covers of songs and post a few of my own.

Pensive Poet

It all started in April 2011 when my mentor inspired me to share my poetry with the world. I don’t write for a specific type of people, my blog is about me, where I share my deepest sentiments through poetry, it’s where I post my latest epiphanies about life and love and God. Young and old people read it and everyone has their own interpretation of what I write. My blog is subjective and subjected to all people. I write poetry from my own experiences about dismay and bliss and love so that I will inspire people to share of themselves too. To not withdraw when it comes to emotion.

The name for my blog comes from what I do best – muse. I think deeply about all there is to think about. I’m always in a pensive state of being.

Do you find blogging takes up a lot of your time?

It does not take up a lot of my time. I write whenever new ideas come into my head and I’m happy to take the time to post them.

Where would you say most of your traffic comes from for your blog?

Most of my traffic comes from websites where I’ve promoted my blog on, such as poetryblogroll.blogspot.com, allpoetry.com and YouTube.

Do you use social networks to promote your blog and if so which ones would you recommend to other bloggers?

I do make use of Twitter therefore I gladly recommend it. All social networks are great for promoting a blog.

How do you promote your blog? Have you created a promotion plan?

Whenever I put new posts up, I tweet so that more people will read my blog.

If you could give some useful advice to new bloggers, what would it be?

Write your heart out. Always try to convey your message or your method or your advice. Your blog should be yours, it should always be original and inspiring.
