Yep, yep, I agree. One to add would be going to events like I’ve been doing lately. Doesn’t get a whole lot of new traffic depending on what you attend, but it still works. Have business cards with you always I’ve learned too. People walk away and forget your domain name.

Agree with you that there is no waiting game on blogging as well as other business.
IMHO, there is only a way to success in blogging is to learn, do, get mistakes, learn from mistakes and do, get mistakes and so far. And it takes us time and effort but it’s worth.

Anand, I couldn’t read your full comment, looks like it truncated. Also, I wasn’t contesting people socializing to be friendly, but lets face it deals are done on Golf Courses, networking is done at drinks and social gatherings in person in many business events (think hollywood, music communities and other artist type engagements).

I am not saying to be false or not genuine, just stating that bloggers must realize if they want success they need to spend a little time and money promoting and advertising their blogs. Some can gain lots of traffic without investing any money, but these are the ones who have a lot more free time to do the blog commenting, submissions, tweeting themselves.

One of the biggest misconceptions is that bloggers (people) typically fail to consider re-investing back into their blog, either through continued consistent effort or with funds. Great points bro.

Great article, but I have to disagree with some points. As always, business always requires networking skills, and online, that networking just happens online. You don’t go to parties to network, rather you go to other blogs, forums, etc.

Another aspect is with regard to competition. As in the real world, there will be cons who promise you to free you of credit card debt or get you lose fat soon. But they eventually lose out to the genuine guys soon enough and so if you are actually someone who is knowledgeable in the area, it should pay off..

The only thing ailing the internet space is the low entry barrier because of which everyone has jumped into the scene which, though is a good thing, has also meant lots of conmen..
