As a lot of you who read my blog and follow me on Twitter and Facebook etc will know I do love my coffee, so when I was approached by “Find Me A Gift” to check out a funky looking cup that will keep my coffee warm with spilling it and it used a method of cooling down just enough coffee to sip without scalding myself, how could I resist.
Brugo! A Perfect Mug For My Hot Coffee – Review
So let me introduce you to the Brugo Mug, this amazing piece of kit will allow you to keep your coffee, or any other beverage, hot while you are on the go. but it’s not just a flask, oh no! It has a wonderful technique of giving you the right amount of coffee at the right temperature without scalding yourself.
The Brugo Mug has a rather ingenious lid giving you control over how you drink your hot drink.
Once you have filled your Brugo Mug up with your hot drink and securely screwed on the lid, you have a dial in the middle of the lid that give you three choices.
- Lock – This option seals the Brugo Mug so that you can’t accidentally spill your drink while you are travelling.
- Sip – This is just like drinking normally from a mug, you tip up the Brugo and you drink your beverage at the current temperature , which can be pretty hot”
- Tip & Cool – Now this is the clever part and the bit I really love, you tip the Brugo Mug away from you and just enough is placed in a the lid for you to drink and it cleverly cooled down at the same time so that you don’t scaled your mouth on the hot drink.
Putting The Brugo Mug Through Its Paces
I do have to admit that I do drink a lot of coffee, as a lot of you will know, one of the things that is annoying for me is my coffee going cold, specially when I’m doing a lot of blogging, just like I am now. So the greatest test for the Brugo Mug for me is keeping my drink warm while I’m working.
So while I have worked on this review, I have my coffee, which I made about an hour and a half ago, in the Brugo Mug and I’ve used the “Tip & Cool” setting on the top, so I have got the right amount of coffee per sip at a nice temperature, so lets give it a test and turn it to the “Sip” option, now hopefully my coffee should still be nice and hot.
Yes indeed, it’s still nice and hot, not boiling, but it has kept a good temperature, much more that my coffee sitting in a normal mug on my desk while I’m working would.
Overall Thoughts Of The Brugo Mug
It has a good-looking design, it’s quite light in weight, the dial on the top is very easy to turn, it also has a non-slip base just to make it that little bit more sturdy, the base of the Brugo Mug is also just the right size to fit on a cup holder, such as the one’s in my Mini Cooper. It holds around 16oz/450ml of your favourite hot beverage and it.
If you are looking for the ideal gift for someone who likes their hot drinks on the go or even for yourself, then I would highly recommend the Brugo Mug, mine is certainly going to get a lot of use from now on
