We have two cats. For any cat lover, you understand what that means. Twice as much cat food, twice as many litter boxes, twice as much noise. BUT, if one of the cats is a 20 pound tiger tabby, we’re really talking about the equivalent of three cats when it comes to cat food. This big guy eats a LOT. And I’m very afraid that if we don’t keep him fed, he’ll end up eating the other cat, a dainty 10 pound calico.

When we got the tabby from a shelter, he was thin and pitiful. Shy and scared. Didn’t make much noise, just hunkered down in the nearest corner. Now he’s plump and confident, except when it comes to the play-fighting he does with the other cat. She always wins! He’ll act like he’s going to just smack her across the room, then she’ll smack him instead, and he runs. I don’t think he knows he’s twice her size!

We love our cats, but they can be a trial. For example, even though we provide them with fresh water daily, they hop up on our bathroom sink and demand to have the faucet dripping for a drink. And of course, we comply. Who said, ‘No one owns cats; cats own us.’ ? Whoever it was is very wise. They boss us around mercilessly.

I don’t know about dog lovers, but I do know that cat lovers are a breed apart. We are weak-willed and easily led. Lead on, cats!

Just a quick post here really as I have been very busy this past week, and yes it is all going to be based around this image of my Golden Retriever that was taken the other day. (Apologies for the blurriness of the picture it was my attempt of getting me out of the image).

It’s been a bit of a busy day today, what with us having the back garden landscaped with some very nice new paving and one of my dogs having a trip to my local vets in Abergele.

Now don’t get me wrong I love my dogs and don’t actually mind paying out for them, but today one of them had to visit the vets to have his teeth cleaned, polished and sadly have two removed!

So at 10 this morning I dropped him off and brought his brother home without him, I never known little Dexter to be so quiet and all the way back home, he never made a sound, soon a we got home he went and sat on the back of the chair and looked for his brother out of the window.
