Archive for the “Website Reviews” Category
This is the place for reviews of websites, such as Search Engine Optimization sites or sites that offer services and also blog reviews.
The other day I got an email, telling me about a new site that will allow Twitter users to tweet about music they like and rate it, so I thought I would take the plunge and check it out.
The site is called Musicvault.fm and it’s just so simple to use, you can use the search engine that they have on the site, or even just do a direct tweet which they will pick up, all you have to do is tweet in this format “Group/Album” XX% your comment @musicvaultfm i.e: “Muse/The Resistance” 90% Awesome record! @musicvaultfm
Then once Musicvault.fm catch your tweet they publish your opinion on their website, it’s really that easy, so I gave it a try and did one for one of my favourite albums by Royksopp, Melody A.M. and then searched for another album, this time I tried my own band, Remergence and it didn’t find anything, but, you can also search via Last.fm and this did produce the results I would have expected..

Now I’m not entirely sure how often I would use Musicvault.fm, but saying that, it is a handy little Twitter website that I think a lot of music fans out there will use to spread the word about albums that they enjoy, maybe I should start using it to promote some of those many artists out there that I personally know that would love the extra links back to their albums to help them show off their talents, hmm.
It’s all a bit of fun, something that you may or may not take seriously, but at least your Twitter followers will know what music you like

I can hear you asking, what is ebuzzing? Well it’s a platform started in 2007 that brings advertisers and bloggers together and helps bloggers with make a bit of money by posting on their blogs. They do this by, as ebuzzing says, “relaying” campaigns from the advertisers to the readers of their blogs. Bloggers have several ways to monetize their blogs including broadcasting videos and creating content for brands. Ebuzzing is already operating in the UK and they are going to intensify their offer!

So what does this mean to bloggers in the UK, like myself? Well putting it simply, even more options for monetisation of their blogs and help with the funding for running a blog. You can monetise on your blog via video campaigns with a dedicated player, video campaigns using “syndicated players” and banners. All campaigns (player and banner videos, and articles written) are about brands and services that you want to recommend to your readers
If you enjoy something, the majority of the time you will recommend it on your blog, so why shouldn’t you get paid for doing it? By recommending an advertiser on your blog you will get paid and this all adds up to a little bit of extra cash in your pocket. Also doing this sort of sponsored article will show that you have an expertise in the field you are blogging about, and over time you are likely to improve on your blog visits.

Ebuzzing has over 800 advertisers have proposed campaigns to bloggers with the help of ebuzzing such as Coca-Cola, Intel, MTV, L?Oréal, MasterCard, Toyota, Electronic Arts, Ubisoft, eBay, Canon, Diesel, Warner Bros, Philips, and StudioCanal… Though ebuzzing requires the presence of the disclaimer “sponsored post” for all articles, and for the videos the name of the advertiser must be placed so that it is visible to all viewers.
To keep all the search engines happy all articles that are posted must be declared as a Sponsored Post and also all links are nofollow. Also posts must be of good quality and be at least two hundred and fifty words in length.
So what are you waiting for, stop by and register on ebuzzing.com today and start earning money from the blogging that you do.

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Sososher. All opinions are 100% mine.
Now we all know that this time of year is probably going to be the most expensive time of the year, Christmas shopping is going to be taking its toll on our pockets and bank accounts, so it would be nice to maybe get a little back when we do our Christmas shopping!
But with the website Sososher you can do your shopping online and at some of the top known websites, sich as Play.com. Hamleys, Phones 4U, Argos, Debenhams, Disney Resorts and loads more, in fact there are around 2,000 stores, wow, you can even do something called “social shopping” this is where you can add buddies to shop with.
Also if you like a store or an item you have purchased you can add your very own video review on to the website, nothing better than a personal review for people to find out about something.
But, one the site features which really jumped out at me is the Cashback side of the website, you can get your hands on the cashback when you buy items on the websites, here are some of the typical Cashback amounts that you can get:
- Gifts – receive up to 7.5% cash back
- Drink – receive up to 5% cash back
- Electricals – receive up to 8% cash back
- Food – receive up to 3.5% cash back
- CDs & DVDs – receive up to 7.5% cash back
- Toys – receive up to 5% cash back
So imagine the amount you could get back on all that Christmas shopping!
Been a member of Sososher has its benfits with this cashback system. As an example from the press release below explains.
So for example Mrs S Ososher does all her usual shopping at a retailer’s website, Marks & Spencer for example, but instead of going there direct or via a search engine, she logs into her Sososher account and clicks on the Marks & Spencer logo. That way, Mrs S Ososher receives all the added bonuses, including cash back for all of her purchases and access to voucher and discount codes. There are over 2,000 retailers you can shop with spread across 40 different categories, so the chances are that if you are looking to buy something online then you’ll find it on Sososher.
I’ve browsed the website and I do like what I see, there are other reward sites out there, but I think this one does offer the incentive of cashback rather than points, so in time you could get back a tidy little sum from Sososher.

So your using Google, MSN or Bing to search the net! But what about giving these guys a run for their money and trying out a new type of website search engine, one that takes Real Time search results and brings them to you as quick as a flash!
Well now you can with a new search engine called LeapFish not only can you search the internet with this new multimedia search engine but you can also customize the site from the homepage with the option of logging via connecting your FaceBook account.
I connected my FaceBook account to LeapFish.com to give it good checking out!
So after connecting my account I tried the two search options the first the default search and searched for “Blazing Minds”, when the results come up you can then cycle through Google, Yahoo and Bing to see the results from each of the engines. You also get the options to choose from Videos, Images, News, Blogs and Shopping, brilliant and the results are so quick and informative.

Next I tried the Real Time search, this time I tried a search for a word of the top of my head, “Batman” great I was delivered a list of News Results, Wikipedia, Web results, video, twitter, blogs and even digg posts, outstanding.
So using LeapFish is great and much more than other browsers, you can customize the way the homepage is shown with widgets, changing colours, you can even add LeapFish to your search list in FireFox!
But what I really like about this search engine is the way that everything comes up on one page and it’s also very quick, so if you are looking for an alternative to Google, Yahoo, Bing or other engines then give it a go, I’m glad I did
LeapFish is conducting private demos prior to the highly anticipated launch, if interested please email demo@leapfish.com

Those wonderful people over at FuelMyBlog have informed their readers, that includes me, about PAW…

As we all know kids love parties, so do we adults or should that be big kids, anyway PAW (Parties Around the World) is a charity site that runs via donations at parties.
The host of an upcoming birthday party can use PAW™ to ask guests to make a donation to a PAW™ charity of their child’s choice, rather than bring a present. Since donations are made through PAW™, it is fast, simple and easy to use. You can set up a dedicated party page, invite your guests, track their RSVPs (no more chasing parents) send thank you emails – and the great thing is that everyone can keep track of how much they have raised for your child’s party theme.
Anyway check out Parties Around the World for more information
