OK so this may not mean a lot to everyone, but it means a heck of a lot to me, over the last few months I was running a slight Twitter Contest, to finally break that 15,000 followers on Twitter that seemed to elude the @BlazingMinds Twitter for a while.

I tweeted out to my followers asking to RT a tweet about a draw which will be made when the Blazing Minds Twitter finally broke the 15,000 mark, quite a few followers ReTweeted the tweet and several ReTweeted it several times.

We Did It! Did What? We Finally Broke 15,000 Followers On Twitter!

So I’ve sorted out who has won an Exclusive Blazing Minds T-Shirt, which will be specially customized for the winner, the winner has been chosen from the 15,000 followers and it is someone who is still following and has done the most Tweets in promoting the contest and believe me it’s taken a while to sift through all the entries, but I’ve finally got down to a winner who has put in quite a lot of tweets and is a loyal follower.

UPDATE: Since this post was originally written the Fame Game has sadly closed down

Wouldn’t it be nice to be able to get a slice of the pie when it comes to a bit of Fame of Twitter, well now you can with the “Fame Game“!

OK! So perhaps we won’t be able to get to the dizzy heights of @LadyGaGa and her massive following of little monsters, but it would be nice to have some kind of FAME even if it’s only for one day, so let me tell you how you can get a little slice of that fame pie with FAME.

FAME is on a mission to find a new tweeter to make more famous than GaGa, it’ll certainly be interesting to see if this bit of Twitter fun will be able to pull this off, now wouldn’t that be something for the celebrity news headlines ;)

All you have to do is connect your Twitter account:

  1. Connect your Twitter to play. Each day we randomly select one FAME winner at 12 noon EST.
  2. Everyone playing FAME will automatically follow the winner’s Twitter account for 24 hours.
  3. The next day, a new winner is selected and the previous winner is automatically unfollowed.

Now how easy is that!

When you connect with your Twitter, you will get one entry ticket, if you decide to tweet out that you have joined the Fame Game you will get an extra “10″ tickets, then for each person that joins up using your link will give you an extra 5 tickets. The more tickets you have the better your chances of winning.

So there I was reading through my stack of emails when I came across my Twitter stats for the week from @TheCounter, so as usual I started reading the email and came across something that caught my eye, a way of having your own Twitter infographic. Now this sounded like fun.

Thanks to this Infographic service that not only allows you to create an infographic from your Twitter as a form of face OFF with a random Twitter Celebrity but it also has a big collection of other themes for you to choose from, you can also make an infographic from your Facebook, now how cool is that ;)

I went for the Twitterize Yourself, which for me is my overall favourite after trying the other themes, after tweeking the options for a more personal look of my character in the infographic, I hit the “Generate Infographic” button.

I remember those early days when Twitter first came to light in around 2006 and though I wasn’t sure about it, I left it for a little while, but then finally bit the bullet and joined in with the “tweeting” madness.

Though at first I didn’t really get it and I don’t think many people did what it was all about, I stuck with it, then years down the line when I started my blog I dropped my, little followed, account and Started up @BlazingMinds, though it has had a name change to fit in the branding of the blog.

Twitter Celebrities And The Big Question Why Do They Bother?

So those of us who have been using Twitter for years were then overwhelmed with the celebrities discovering this “new” application for them to promote the hell out of themselves and their works, TV Shows, Films etc.

But as with most celebrities they are a one-way street, with the majority of them sticking together in close groups of fellow Twitter Celebrities and only communicating with each other and totally ignoring their loyal fans and followers, with the exception of a few Twitter Celebrities such as @LadyGaGa and @GunnerGale most Twitter Celebrities just don’t bother!

Mass Twitter Followers And Not Enough Time On Their Hands
