Twitter has been mentioned a lot lately, it was mentioned in conversation on “Friday Night with Jonathan Ross” between Stephen Fry and Jonathan Ross, then on Richard & Judy on Watch, and today it was on GMTV with Lorraine Kelly.
So why the sudden interest, maybe it’s that celebrities are using Twitter themselves, or are they?
I myself follow Stephen Fry, Jonathan Ross and Philip Schofield to name but three
But the debate has always been are these real celebrities, some impersonating them or their own PR manager tweeting for them….
I think it’s just a case of making up your own mind as to whether or not they are legitimate..
Anyway here’s a few that I follow if you know any more then let us all know
Kate Hewlett – Sister to David Hewlett (Rodney in Stargate Atlantis)
Stephen Fry – Master of the spoken word and presenter of QI
Jonathan Ross – TV chat show host etc
Imogen Heap – Musician
So are they the real celebrities, who knows? Who cares? It’s all a bit of fun at the end of the day!!

Stephen Fry is certainly worth following
How much time do people spend on Twitter nowadays? It seems to be an overwhelming reservoir of little things to “follow”.

I tried Twitter and don’t really see the point, I’m not much of a facebook/myspace fan either. Though I use Secondlife a lot and you’ll find that’s a celebrity hangout too, not that anyone will tell you who they are.

I’ve heard of many celebrities using Twitter before, especially musicians. It can be a great promotional tool for them. I haven’t tried using Twitter yet though, but I do know of people that have and it does work out well for them.

Sara Bareilles (I’m Not Gonna Write you A Love Song) has been on Twitter for a long time. Most of the “celebrities” on Twitter are not real though.

i’m working on that field and, as far as i know, celebrities usually contribute by themselves on twitter (i.e. they write tweets by their own), but other social networks like myspace, youtube and facebook somethimes are managed by their PR team, and that makes their fans really confused. They pretend to be real celebrities, but it can be recognized that some text is not written by celebrity herself.
