A little while back I posted about asking some of the best commentators on my blog to become guest bloggers and lately commenting standards are vastly improving.
A lot of commentators on Blazing Minds now leave well written comments, majority of comments such as “great site” and “I agree” have now started to disappear!
So now I would like to introduce to you those avid commentators on Blazing Minds that have been given the chance to become Guest Bloggers on Blazing Minds.
- Anand Srinivasan – Techcrunchies
- bbrian017 – BlogEngage & SEO Marketing Promotion
- Justin Germino aka DragonBlogger
- Extreme John
- Hesham – Famous Bloggers
- John Sullivan – Pot Politics
- Angus Maiden – Gus Reviews
Thanks Guys

Hey Karen Hope all is well. I mismanaged my funds and got STUPID last month I knew the bill was coming and they weren’t kidding when they locked my site it should be back on Monday. I was going to get one of those throw away debit cards to fire it back up but actually I needed a Brake from that Blog.I can really see how the word POT has had a negative impact So I will be making some changes and may use bloganese.com as my main CLEAN blog and just talk smack on POTPOLITICS.
I can control what’s said on my site. Over 3000 comments and NONE are negative LUCK ? hmm yeah right. Anyway I need to think of something like reaching out to bloggers is becoming a LOST art and I was tired of twittering and stumbling commenting on people’s sites and No response most of the time it was weird but I kept going on. So soon the brake is over
Thanks for keeping me on your site and I do appreciate the blogroll. Once I’m back up I will have a nice surprise for you
thanks for everything
The main thing I wanted to say is that despite knowing the power of guest posting I have never done it because I feel like I’m would be setting myself for some dumb feedback
PS do you like twittley better then the RT button ? I just read your comment on ExtremeJohn

I do like Twittley a bit more at the moment, I seem to have problems with tweetmeme, but I still have an RT button for twitter in my sexy bookmarks

That’s a great idea to inspire good comments – and a good use of the top commenter plugin. I was reading that using the KeywordLuv plugin and the Top commenter plugin together was self defeating (because the top commenter plugin only goes by the name entered and if someone uses different keywords every time they comment it won’t give them credit for all the differently named comments – whew that was a long sentence) – but as you have it set up requesting people only use their blog name it works. As long as people follow directions.

I must say that your comments are worth reading, not too long and not too short
Sometimes I have to edit the comments so that they mention the sites name instead, others I have to delete because they just don’t follow the rules at all!

That’s good to hear – I’ll save my longwindedness for my blog posts.
As far as deleting comments those pesky spammers are getting better at obfuscating (whoa big word where did that come from?) their comments so it’s trickier to tell if it is a valid comment. For example I just got this one: “You may have not intended to do so, but I think you’ve managed to express the state of mind that a lot of people are in. The sense of wanting to help, but not knowing how or wherever, is something lots of us are going through.”
Which sounds legit until you see that it was on a post about Hand Carved Fair Trade African Djembe Drums.
