The Conspiracy – The huge FrightFest hit comes to DVD

The Conspiracy

[mantra-multi][mantra-column width="3/4"]The Conspiracy Synopsis

When two film makers select a crazed conspiracy theorist as the subject of their new work the task seems simple enough: Befriend him, gain his trust, and let the madness speak for itself. But things prove more complicated than that. Despite his street preaching their subject proves to be an articulate and intelligent man. One prone to seeing patterns other do not, yes, but hardly the expected lunatic. Listen long enough and his arguments even start to make an unnerving sort of sense. It’s not enough to make them wonder if maybe, somehow, there’s some basis to what he is saying.

And then he simply disappears. No Word. No Trace. Just Gone

Before I start, I have to mention that The Conspiracy uses that age-old style of filming, the found footage genre, now I have seen loads of these and a lot of you know from my reviews that I’m not overly a big fan of the genre.

With so many films using and abusing the style of filming these days, it puts me off from seeing “another” movie that uses this technique, but, I had heard a lot about this film and how well it did at FrightFest, so this really started to intrigue me.

Also the film is based around conspiracies enticed my imagination even further, so how could I not resist it!

CONSPIRACY_QUAD

As I mentioned earlier this is a “found footage” type movie, but I do have to say that it certainly is one of the better ones that I have seen in the last few years.

Forget the films such as The Devil Inside and even the Paranormal Activity films, The Conspiracy certainly has a more intriguing feel to it and right from the start it has you interested.

Once you  get going through the film, you just want to know more about the “Tarsus Club” and really want to know what is going on with the many conspiracy theories that are going around.

I have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed The Conspiracy, it takes a lot for me to enjoy a found footage genre movie, but this certainly had me hooked right from the start!

The movie is released on DVD, Blu-Ray and On-Demand on the 14th October, check it out and let me know your thoughts on The Conspiracy theories before The Tarsus Club removes all trace!!!
