For those of you that didn’t get to see the superb article in the Daily Post newspaper about young Jack and Tom and how happy they were with their new Teddies donated from Build-A-Bear Workshop, then here’s the article with some exclusive photos that wasn’t in the article.
Boys’ Faces Light Up With Build-A-Bear Donated Bears (Article in the Daily Post)
CHRISTMAS came early for two little boys yesterday after the sorry sight of a washed away teddy bear spurred a special delivery.
Six-year-old Jack Evans and his brother Tom, five, lost some of their toys when the River Elwy burst its banks flooding their home in Roe Parc, St Asaph.
Blogger Karen Woodham was reporting the devastation when she spotted a stuffed toy floating downstream and got to thinking about the young victims of the deluge.
The 42-year-old from Towyn contacted the Build-a-Bear Workshop who kindly donated 10 furry friends for her to hand out.
Much like Santa himself, Karen has delivered the bears to flood-stricken families including an 18-month-old baby and a five-year-old girl.
Jack and Tom, who are living in a rented property in St Asaph were the latest recipients, and have already named their bears Billy and Snowflake.
Their dad, Wayne said he and wife Zoe were “touched” by Karen’s “heartwarming” actions which “lit up the boy’s faces.”
“We went out shopping and the boys had their bears tucked firmly under their arms, they love them,” he said.
“We can’t believe how supportive people have been.
“It was such a lovely idea that Karen had to donate teddies, the boys are made up with them.”
A big thank you to Kelly and Stacy at the Daily Post for the fantastic article and pictures, not forgetting Jack and Tom for having their photos done with their new furry friends and I hope that their Build-A-Bears will bring them many years of love and cuddles.
