Now most of you do visit my blog through EntreCard and may of read in an earlier post that I wasn’t really sure if I would stay or go

Well my decision has finally been made by the continous issues that EntreCard seems to be having, for example I had no way of knowing who had dropped on my site yesterday and couldn’t return the favour by dropping back due to some error on the EntreCard system where is wasn’t showing the droppers!

I would like to thank everyone who has been dropping on my site and taking the time to read posts and comment on them, your efforts are very much appreciated, all I would ask is that you please subscribe to my RSS Feed and keep your comments coming on my future posts.

So, hopefully I’ll see you all commenting on my blog….

If anyone has a good enough reason to talk me out of leaving then I would love to hear it..

I hope you will reconsider your decision. Entrecard may not be perfect, but at least they tried to help give our blogs the much needed traffic. Their latest venture may not be palatable to everyone, but at least they tried to find ways to monetize those credits.

Oh, well. Good luck to you and hope to hear more from you soon.

    Cheers!

I have several ads over a matter of days to show on the widget, so I’ll let them run and then see if I have a change of heart!

I do understand the decision; but they all have their little “server problems”….
Like adgitize is also “off line” now; the advantage of entrecard is; you still have an ad showing in a normal way. Like adgitize – the ad is totally off – and gives an ugly message…. (and this is also NOT the first time with adgitize…)

(I don’t see adgitize ads on your blog – but I do believe you are advertising via them…)

I have entrecard on 3 blogs – and on only one I am really “working on it”…. and I can forgive their “bad days”….
But like with the advertising etc; they do seem to listen to their users…..

I don’t use adgitize, I use CMF. If more people like yourself do give positive feedback for EC then I might just stay ;) I am currently still dropping while I make my mind up…

Entrecard’s server crashed causing them to have to restore to an earlier point, meaning any drops you made or drops made on you were lost and ads that should have rolled over to the next ad, did not. Nothing was communicated during the problem. That’s the whole problem with Entrecard. A little communication goes a long way. If they would just keep their members informed when there is a problem, perhaps people wouldn’t get so upset and wouldn’t be leaving in droves.

I’ve been teetering one way then the other wrt Entrecard… for the moment, I’ve decided to continue on. Thankfully I didn’t “lose” my drops as you and many others have – I guess that’s one small benefit of having forgotten to drop yesterday? :p

I considered leaving but then thought, what’s the point.. If I leave the widget there and I get the odd new visitor from it it’s good. If I don’t then I’ve not lost a bean.

Some days I drop a lot, most days I drop only a dozen or so.. I now (at the moment) refuse to take it all so seriously.

I still stick to my guns though about not having paid ads.

So, why not stay, what is there to loose?

That’s a good idea, I don’t drop as much as I used to, just too time consuming, but a good point of yours, thanks

I am with LadyBanana; it is just takes a little of space on your page.
And if I compare it to CMF – I am getting way more visits via EC…. CMF is “just an ad” ….. nothing more….!

And yep; I just hope that some of the EC visitors come back *outside the ec box*.

I have not dropped Entrecard, but I have virtually done away with dropping except for once a week to visit my visitors and comment and blog back. I use the Entrecard Marketplace heavily though and can gain better traffic bursts by spending credits in the marketplace, I also can earn far more credits there by offering guest blog posts and social submission services.

However, I miss visiting others blogs with the dropping and the advertisers who don’t run blogs make it hard to do my click drops to see who’s next. I like seeing new badge images and checking out the blogs that use them.

I too have a few EC market listings, but lately they seem to have dried up a bit which is a real shame! But I am considering staying with EC as most people seem to say just leave up the widget!

You will be missed in the EC community. There are so many other ways to generate traffic to blogs that it probably won’t make a difference, but consider this comment my drop ;)

As I mentioned earlier to Dragon Blogger, I am considering keeping up my widget to EC, Maybe I won’t be as addicted to the dropping but I may still be involved ;)
