It’s been one of those days for me today. I’ve went out to work this morning and just wanted the day to be a day to myself, no distraction from anyone or anything and luckily everywhere I went to was just how I like it.
But to improve the peace, I decided to keep my mobile phone turned on, but set it to silent, so I couldn’t hear it, if anyone did ring or text. It’s been a perfect day and though many may say that I have been very antisocial, my answer would be so what.
It’s just nice to have a day with no one bothering you, so you can get on with what you do and take everything in your own stride, without those worries of someone ringing and saying, “where are you?”, “What are you doing?”, “What are you doing tonight?” and so on and so forth.
And to top it all, it’s lovely and peaceful at home, it’s quite warm outside, so no one is making too much noise and they are relaxing taking the nice weather in.
So do you ever get one of these day? And what do you do?

Today’s post is a nice compliment to your post yesterday post about too much time on the internet.
Yes, we get those kind of lazy days. We force it though. We simply hook up our recreational trailer and head to the mountains for camping or skiing and choose some place where there is no cell phone or internet service. Absolutely love it btw!

I got like that today for an hour since my eyes are burning from being on the computer so much. Then I thought to myself, is being like this going to get me to where I want. The answer was no and I got a super huge giant burst of motivation. I’ve tried to leave the phone in the other room and not talk to anyone, but I came to the conclusion that it’s never going to happen.

I usually leave my phone when I am at the gym or a place in which I don’t care about the outside world, but I can’t say that I’ve done this for an entire day
I love a quiet house. Actually my wife is out at a movie and the kids are at friend’s houses so I’m just chillin’ watching some baseball and getting caught up on all my rss feeds. Take care.
Having one of those days right now – part of the peace comes from getting something, however small, accomplished. So I’m online a bit before I get back to work: I’ve been sort of productive, and plan to be a lot more productive in a minute or two.

I definitely have days when the world seems overwhelming, and I want to retire somewhere doing something I enjoy. It happened to turn off my phone, or even not to take it upon me on purpose. I either take a walk in the park, enjoy nature or take some meditation.
