It’s a simple thing really but do you schedule your blog posts?
Maybe you have two many posts to post in one day and think it may be too much for your subscribers/readers to get inundated with loads of posts, so you spread them over a few days or even weeks to make you blog more interesting, or do you just decide that while you are on holiday and won’t have time to post, then you set up collection of scheduled posts to post on your blog while you are away.
I know I have done both of the above in the past and still do spread my posts over a matter of days, I’ve found in the past that people who subscribe will unsubscribe if:
a) you are posting too many times a day.
b) you don’t post enough!
So now I try to keep my posts to one every one to three days, so that my readers still have something to look forward to rather than getting a mass of posts in one go!
So what do you do, do you schedule or do you just flood your blog in one day and then leave it to dry for a few days or weeks?

I’ve never scheduled my blog posts, except for my weekly hotties and musical mondays, and since I don’t believe i have any subscribers I don’t know if I should, but it is something to think about.

@ Daneil: Thanks for commenting, you ‘ve got a subscribtion from me for your blog
I have never used this options
I’ve have seen it but never used it. I just post when news and things come to me or I find information.
I post atleast 2 eveyer 3 days. But I want to post 1 each day atleast so people are intrested still
I don’t really but I try and space them out.
Weekends are always busy for me, as many things happen I can blog about in my niche – so it is inevitable to blog more then. Agree that bursting too many can cause ppl to unsubscribe, I’ve done that myself – espeically if they are not quality posts I will unsubscribe to them.

I sure do! My problem is that my free time comes up in big chunks every couple days and my “good” ideas for posts come in a torrent as well. I try to write up my best ideas, edit them and then release them over a couple days (usually every other day). I found that when I released more than one post on the same day people would only respond or read the top post and ignore the next one. The scheduling option has been a good friend to me so far.
As Daneil said, I don’t want to flood my subscribers suddenly and then go on a long drought. right now in fact I’ve got a few ideas that I’m banging out and then will release them over next week in little intervals and then add in recent news as it becomes available.

I agree with you completely and very often try to spread my posts out or find a rhythm for them at least.
It is also very hand to have them publish while I am off having fun someplace else.
I know that I have “unsubscribe” for both the reason of too many posts or too long between posts…
Great Reminder and it’s always important to consider our readers!

I think flooding my blog in one day and then putting it aside for a while is not ok. Extremes aren’t good. I try to post using the policy of “baby steps”, at leas now at the beginning. Since I like to write qualitatively rather than quantitatively, I try not to stress out if 3 days have passed without me posting anything.
