So the Eurovision is over for another year, thank God (stepping on some toes now!), I’m not a big fan of the Eurovision, there is just something about it that makes me cringe and my flesh crawl, it could possibly be that over the years, the voting isn’t about the music, it’s usually political with countries only giving top votes to the countries that are around them! (stepping on even more toes now!)
But besides that, some of the music is quite good, not brilliant, but quite good and maybe Eurovision Song Contest has become a bit of a musical comedy over the years, yes I know I am upsetting a lot of people saying that I don’t like it and will probably get stacks of replies telling so, but everyone, including me, has their own opinions on what we like and dislike.
For those that haven’t heard, Norway won last nights Eurovision with 387 which I believe is a record score! So I’ve been told, so congratulations to the winner and commiserations to our very own Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber, it just goes to prove that been a “musical genius” doesn’t give someone the ability to win.
