First North Wales Pride Event At Hendre Hall

So over the last weekend on the 6th October, Blazing Minds covered the first North Wales PRIDE event, that was held in Hendre Hall, Tal-Y-Bont, Bangor.

First North Wales Pride Event At Hendre Hall

This was an event that I”d been looking forward to covering since I first heard about it and I knew that the night that we were going was going to be a good one as not only was Sami Brookes going to be headlining, but there was going to be a mass of other acts and events going on, DJs would be in several rooms banging out some tunes, as well as other bands and artists performing through the night.

The idea of North Wales Pride is to bring everyone together, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender, by doing so everyone can celebrate diversity.

Families were enjoying the weekend and everyone was having an amazing time, in the rather quaint Hendre Hall, which just sits of the A55. The day was just coming to an end when we arrived to cover the evenings event and as stalls were being closed and removed, everyone was enjoying themselves.

The DJs etc could be heard from within some of the rooms and the main room was being set up for the acts to take place later in the night, but for now there was some massive tunes coming out quite loud from the current DJ.

As the night started to roll in, more and more people arrived for the event, a little less than I expected, but this is the first event held, but never the less, the main room was started to get full, so it was time to get to the bar grab a drink, take a look around and then wait for the main room to start the nights entertainment.

With acts such as The L Project, Sparkle Lee and Sami Brookes taking to the stage, the night was so much fun, it’s great to see everyone enjoying themselves with not a spot of prejudice anywhere in a room, this is how the world should be, everyone getting on with each other no matter their race,  religion, sexual orientation etc.

I do have to say to the promoters of North Wales Pride you did an amazing job, we were greeted and given our AAA passes ready to go and do our work for this post and the photographs, the night was entertaining and fun, personally I’m looking forward to covering next years pride event as well. We even bumped in to Big Brother Winner Luke Anderson ;)

The North Wales Pride event was so much fun, leave your prejudices  at the door and have fun, listen to the amazing music, have a drink and something to eat, but most of all it’s a great event to be at and cover, so I’ll certainly be covering next year.
