Google Earth 5.0 with Ocean View and Time Machine!
Posted by Karen in Earth, Environment, Internet, VideosNow I can quite honestly say it’s been a while since I used my Google Earth on my PC and I was quite intrigued by version 5 boasting it’s ocean views and having the option to turn back time and check out locations from present day to some years back!
So I’ve given it a bash and wow Google Earth 5 will allow you to fly, or should that be swim!, around the ocean checking out more than you could on previous version of Google Earth.
As with the other version of Google Earth it is a free download so it won’t cost you a penny, unless you want the pro version which will set you back $400 about £280, but the free version is good enough.

Glad to hear you liked the new Google Earth…I keep forgetting to try it out on my new super-fast computer (it was always pokey on my Mac Mini, and I don’t dare try it at work since the bandwidth it sucks down would scare the heck out of our network admins). I think I’ll have to give it a try when I get home tonight.
I’m especially interested in the “time machine” aspect

So now that I’ve arrived home, I’ve given it a try. And I must say, at first blush, this does blow the previous versions away…and that’s saying something, as Google Earth was freakin’ sweet from the get-go.

I’ve just tried Google Earth 5.0, the time machine is not available for all places (yet), but the few places I’ve checked made it really neat!
LOL! I believe Google has the technology to put the future in the time machine
