I've just tried Google Earth 5.0, the time machine is not available for all places (yet), but the few places I've checked made it really neat!

LOL! I believe Google has the technology to put the future in the time machine :)

So now that I've arrived home, I've given it a try. And I must say, at first blush, this does blow the previous versions away...and that's saying something, as Google Earth was freakin' sweet from the get-go.

Glad to hear you liked the new Google Earth...I keep forgetting to try it out on my new super-fast computer (it was always pokey on my Mac Mini, and I don't dare try it at work since the bandwidth it sucks down would scare the heck out of our network admins). I think I'll have to give it a try when I get home tonight.

I'm especially interested in the "time machine" aspect :)
