Ok my humble readers, lets get serious for a little bit, enough of the blogging tips, money making, twitter tips and film reviews, let’s get on to the series matter that the human race has too much of and is sending it to the brink of destruction, I’m talking about hate!
Even the word itself can bring on the monster in some people, the word hate is even a horrible word and personally it’s one that I rarely, if ever, use myself.
After reading several definitions and historic moments, it all boils down to the Animal side of all humans, but, we are the only animals that will take another’s life for the sole purpose of nothing more that hate. Other animals that populate our wonderful planet do not, they will only kill for food or for their own survival, says a lot really doesn’t it!?
Why Do Have To Hate Each Other? Can’t We All Get On?
So where does this hatred for fellow man come from?
Well it seems that it all stems back to those caveman days when we were indeed like animals and we were fighting for our survival, looking for food and a mate to procreate with to keep the species alive, but, where as the other animals in the world kept to, what can be only described as, their natural instincts for survival, the human race took the step to continue down a path of no return.
With the human brain developing and the power of language, man slowly developed of the years in to the ultimate killing machine, now it wasn’t necessary to hunt just for animals meat for food, it was coming to a point that if a neighbouring tribesmen even did the smallest of things that wasn’t liked then that was it!
Over the thousands of years, this deep rooted hatred for our fellow man has stayed with us and even though the human being is a work of genius with skills that no other animal has even got near to accomplishing, those days of pure hatred are still occasionally rearing their ugly heads.
You would think that with the ability of rational thinking, love and the ability to learn would have helped the human race slowly take a different path to a world of peace, but sadly no, it hasn’t.
There’s Just Too Much Hate In The World
Some say “those that hate you are jealous of you“, which is a polite way of just making you ignore the nastiness. But that doesn’t explain the way people are to those who have a different skin colour, live in a different country, are gay, are transsexual, those that are tall or short, disabled people, people with the wrong hair colour or religious beliefs. The list goes on and on.
I know that in my lifetime, nothing much is going to change, which is a shame, people who have an excuse to hate must remember several key things, we are all human, we all live on the same planet and we all came from the same place, whether you believe that it’s from the primeval ooze or from a higher being.
So think about it people, teach your children not to hate, to show that we can live in a world where everyone gets on with each other, show them that just because someone doesn’t look like you, act like you do or do things you disagree with such as their religious or sexual preferences, doesn’t mean you have to hate them!
Ok seriousness over for today, now go and please be nice to each other boys and girls for all our sakes.

Yes, it is unfortunate but it seems to be the basis of life itself. The survival instinct that determines whether a species is extinct or not has carried over to man too and us being more intelligent, are able to devise more heinous and elaborate ways to put down the other person, as compared to birds or animals who only squabble over hunting territory or mates for the most part.

Other animals struggle for food, nesting sites and mates, but mankind is the only species that actually kills its own members. This is a serious problem. While we all keep hoping for a war to end all wars, it never seems to come. I just hate the way people are. Ooops.

We, as a species, are certainly on a road of destruction!

Hi Karen,
I love this honest, clear and passionate article. In fact, I make link to it so I can share with my readers!
I am really passionate about putting forth the energy of love to overcome or block the energy of hate. There are some major things going on in the world today that fuel this negative energy. It’s time to rise up and declare ‘love is the best medicine!’ I also grew up in the 60′s & 70′s, when ‘Love’ was a big topic. LOL Somehow this translated into sex and craziness.
Great article! Sally

Those who control the media and educational systems put a lot of time and effort into conditioning people to see others as the enemy. From birth we are pitted against each other and encouraged to “compete” with many competitions little more than training future warriors.
It is about time we all woke up and stopped being manipulated into hating each other. People everywhere have the same basic needs: clean water, natural food, and shelter. We should all recognize that and focus on what is REALLY important instead of being programmed as workaholics who buy and do what they’re conditioned to do.
The people of any country do not wage war on the people of any other country – the wealthy who benefit from the sales to both sides who perpetuate permanent war do. A great quote from the ’70s was “what if they gave a war and nobody came”.
We need to educate everyone we can about why we have to stop turning on each other before it is too late. The wealthy few can get away with what they do as long as the many who work for the government care more about protecting their positions than they care about other human beings. If those in law enforcement and the military refuse to turn on everyone else the wealthy elite is done.
