Now I’ve had a few people say to me what the heck is this Gravatar thing that you have on your website and how come some comments have a picture next to them?
Well it simple really it’s what’s called a Gravatar (Global Recognised avatar) and everyone can have one for free, yes you read that right, FREE. Simply visit the Gravatar website and sign up for your free account you can then add your image to your chosen email address, then when you comment on a blog or a site that is using Gravatar with that chosen email address your Image will be shown, it’s that simple.
Why should you have a Gravatar?
Well, why not? Having a Gravatar will give your blogging etc a bit more personality, by having your own unique image when you are blogging, just makes things look a little better and also if people get used to your own Gravatar then they will know it’s you from a quick glimpse.
So my advice it get yours today, it doesn’t cost you anything and it fun

Sometimes I cannot remember the names but just looking at the gravatar i know it is familiar and more friendly. Some like to use a photograph.. but I like mine

Hi Nehh, thanks for commenting, I do think that having a distinct gravatar helps with seeing if a user you know has commented on a blog, it’s just a shame that everyone hasn’t got one, I mean they are free at the end of the day!
