Hello everyone, just a short post today and a bit of a question really to everyone that reads Blazing Minds in its many forms, either direct here on the blog or via email or RSS readers.

As some of you may know, Blazing Minds is going to be two on September the 4th, so I thought it would be great to shout out to other fellow bloggers and ask:

How Old Is Your Blog?

Suffice to say that on the 4th of September I will be writing a special post to celebrate Blazing Minds second year in the world of blogging.

I do have some plans on what I will put in the post, but for now, it’s a closely guarded secret

So for the time being, let me know the answer to the question above and lets see how many comments we can get on this subject, the more the merrier ;)

Mine is 1 year and 2 months old – or something like that, so you’re still ahead of me ;)

Well, mine is 3 days old! That’s for my newest blog. For the oldest, let me check…it’s 3 1/2 years! :o I really don’t give too much thought on each’s anniversary. Maybe it’s time I should.

Hello? Is this thing on…? I think my little ‘ol blog is only (already) 1 year and four months. But if you add all the posts and divide by the coefficient of friction minus the number of weeks in a year you’ll get a newbie blogger who hasn’t had time to write regular posts enough to be celebrating his 16 month anniversary. (it doesn’t help when family is visiting for the past week and a half and I fall off the blogging and commenting wagon completely) :)

Congratulations! You’ve done very well in two years Karen.

Our blog is close to 4 years old, but our domain is about 15 years old. ;)

Hi have just reviewed my blog and it’s fast approaching 4 years old. Still I kinda fell out of love with it last September as my life priorities changesd with age.

Speaking of which – happy 2nd birthday. Isn’t 2 the age they say kids develop their sense of self as seperate from others and begin their tantrums?

How will reaching two affect your blogging, will you be throwing a tantrum or two to liven up our lives? Keep up the good work..

Look forward to reading about your big suprise.

    Cheers,

    Dave.

My blog is almost 3.5 years old, and like many bloggers with OLD blogs, I don’t blog as much there anymore, due to having other projects that take up so much of my time and energy. Many of my latest posts are from guest bloggers nowadays. But I feel that as long as you are producing good, useful content, your visitors won’t mind at all. I know many of my visitors are from search engines.

This is a little different though, for blogs with a steady following, and have their own Facebook/Twitter/etc accounts and following….;)

So you need to understand what sort of blog you fall into. Or you could even be a mix of the above.

Whoa… I had no idea I’d been at it this long, but I’m just over 17 months right now.

Most of the stuff I published that first half a year is garbage. Somewhere along the way, my blog turned into a photoblog… so now I have another URL where I publish non-photography stuff. Over time, I’m moving a lot of that “first six months” type stuff to the other site (complete with 301 redirects for SEO goodness).

Congratulations on two years – here’s to the next two! Cheers!

Found my way from Blog Engage. My blog is 10 days old. Despite the relatively young age, I have been blogging seriously since 2007. I deleted my old blog in May this year and right now I am just starting everything from scratch.
