How addictive can it be to play a games console and have endless hours of fun?
Well, it’s very addictive and yesterday after spending the day with @quiffylaa31 I spent a fair bit of time playing on the wii and boy it was so much fun, ok, I may be a big kid at heart, but I’ve never had such a workout by just standing there waving my arms around a like mad woman!
Then in the evening after my niece had come home from school we spent a couple of hours playing Wii Sports Resort, wow, it’s even better with two people playing, I could only imagine how mad it would be with four!
So now, I’ve got to the point that I would love to get a Wii myself, it seems to be a great way to have a couple of hours fun and have a good workout at the same time, not like some other systems where you just sit on your backside and twiddle your thumbs.
Having the Wii bug, it’s now time for me decide, do I fork out some of my hard-earned cash for a Wii Console, it’s probably certainly cheaper than paying for gym membership and travel expenses to get to the Gym and on the plus side, it’s all done in the comfort of my own home and I can include the family to have fun on my own Wii Console.
Too be honest I’m not too sure what to do, it’s a lot of money to spend, but then again, you can’t take it with you can you

I enjoyed my Wii the first few weeks, now I use it only a few times per month
Luckily my Playstation Move set just arrived today so I’m hoping PS Move is a bit more fun than Wii…

I was also thinking of upgrading from my PS2 to a PS3, that way I get a BluRay player as well
I’d agree with Klaus, it does wear off after awhile.
It’s best when you have a group to play with. If your just playing alone, you’ll get bored quickly.
I don’t think nintendo has done a good job of getting games out that really keep you engaged, they go more for casual gaming. More like pulling it out every few weeks for 30 minutes.
We mostly use ours to watch netflix. We only play games on it about once a month.

I haven’t been bitten by the Wii bug yet but I’m thinking it could be a great way to get fit. After a winter (I’m in New Zealand) of sitting on my behind in front of the computer I need a bit of limbering up to ready myself for summer.
I’m all for anything I can do in the privacy of my own home – preferably whilst reading my Twitter stream and checking stats!

I used to play with Wii before some years ago, but it’s very less now a days.
Hey Karen, it’s so funny when you mentioned on twitter you’re thinking of getting a wii for Christmas, since my wife and I had the same conversation that night! I’m trying to decide if it will really be a good thing for spending family time together. My daughter is suddenly really into electronics, and always wants to ‘go fishing’ on my iphone… The wii looks like it will be a fun thing for us to do together.
I think it’s one of the few console where the games are family orientated
I haven’t played Wii in my life and based on your post, you really enjoyed playing it. I suggest, you follow or do what makes you entertained, this time, its Wii, so go get it.!

Thanks Ron
I bought my daughter a Wii-Fit for her birthday and she uses it in place of going to the gym. I followed along with her when she did her workout, the last time I visited her, and I certainly felt like I’d done a proper workout. The only difficulty is maintaining the motivation to do it every day. But i guess you might say the same about going to the gym.
Hi, at least there is no travelling to and from the gym, after a good workout, you can just flop down on the sofa
