Katie Piper Charity Show – Exclusive
So on Friday night, myself and Lee (@CelebExposed1), were honored to cover the Katie Piper Charity Show organised by Ceri Pritchard at the Rhyl Pavilion. The event was in aid of raising money for the Katie Piper Foundation and not only was it for a good cause but it also had people enjoying a night out with family and friends for an evening of variety.
Starting the show was the Gay Harris Dancers with a brilliant dance show and singing Get the Party Started all very well done and enjoyable, this particular number had the audience getting in to the mood for the rest of the nights entertainment, the nights fun had only just began.
Next compare Stevie Jaxx came on and had the crowd doing a Mexican Wave and yes me being at the front and last on the left had to be the one to send the wave back, so much fun and rather silly, funny how many people don’t stand up, wave their hands and shout “woo”
After the fun and laughter died down, the second act was on.
Paula Martine At The Katie Piper Charity Show
Paula Martine (@PaulaDuncan76) was next up on the stage, wow this woman can sing and bring the audience in to the feel of the night with a night of fun that was now moving along nicely.

My particular favorite track that she performed was the Niles Barkley track Crazy the audience seemed to be enjoying it as well as they started to clap to the beat of the song, brilliant atmosphere and start to the event to help raise money for the Katie Piper Foundation.
Paula performed extremely well and she has such a powerful voice that can really hit some amazing notes, if you do get chance to see Paula perform then check her out.
After the return of the Gay Harris Dancers with a rather good dance from the kids performing Wild One, it was then time for the next act to come on the Pavilion’s stage.

Kameelion At The Katie Piper Charity Show
Time for Kameelion (@KameelionMusic), this is where the screams start, as Ben had the crowd of fans screaming for him, well the girls anyway, you can always guarantee when Kameelion comes on the stage the fans love him.
The nice thing about Ben is he doesn’t really do covers, but tonight he did a brilliant one to tonight of a Gene Pitney track “I’m Going To Be Strong” and he added his own twist to the track, very nicely done Ben, loved it and so did the crowd and between you and me, so did Lee

It’s always nice at one of these shows when an artist can stand on his own two feet with original tracks and Kameelion can certainly stand on his with his own music, which can be found on iTunes I believe.
Pretty Girl Rock At The Katie Piper Charity Show
Pretty Girl Rock (@PGROfficial) are always ones for talking to the audience and getting people involved and they gave some shout outs after their first song to some special fans in the audience.

Moving on to a cover of a song by Adele, which they did a good job off, the three work well together and ballads are sang very well by them and the night’s performance of this track was no exception.
After a little banter the girls covered the Olly Murs track, Dance with me tonight, which had some of audience up on their feet dancing away and thoroughly enjoying themselves.
Finishing off their set with their track, It Ain’t Love and the compare asking our photographer for a comedy shot to end the night, now that was funny.
Nearly time for an intermission and the Gay Harris Dancers return to end the first half, dressed in sailor suits and a nice bit of stage play, which I’m not really sure what it was from but the kids performing did it very well, so funny and the audience were in fits and giggles, specially the kids in the audience.

Part 2 – The Katie Piper Charity Show
Starting the second half of the show was The Centre Singers, who performed a brilliant rendition of True Colours and a few more songs, very nicely done and some beautiful renditions.
Thesps At The Katie Piper Charity Show

These kids were brilliant and the audience showed their appreciation with getting involved with clapping and singing and a massive round of applause after.
They sing together brilliantly and all have them looked like they certainly enjoyed the show, everyone loved their performance on the night and I was lucky enough to meet them all yesterday at the Scala in Prestatyn where they were singing live on PointFM, they do have so much passion and respect for what they do.

Nice to see the compare Stevie Jaxx having a laugh with them all after their performance, certainly brought even more smiles to the faces in the audience
Daniela At The Katie Piper Charity Show
So after that we had Daniela from Slovakia performing a brilliant version of The Power of Love, no not the Frankie Goes To Hollywood track but the one by Jennifer Rush.

Now to be honest I’d never heard of Daniela before and so I wasn’t really sure how she would do with the Rhyl audience, but she went down really well, they all seemed to enjoy her four song set and she got a big round of applause after she had finished, a talented vocalist with a broad range and the ability to hold a note and carry it. Nicely done indeed.
Sami Brookes Headlining The Katie Piper Charity Show
Sami Brookes (@SamiBrookesxFac) started her 6 songs with Ultre Nate’s Free, which went down extremely well with Sami’s fans in the audience who were screaming, you always know when big fans of Sami are somewhere, you can certainly hear them.

Moving on to the Second Song, Sami did a rather unusual version of Queens’s Bohemian Rhapsody, now I’m a big Queen fan and covers of their songs usually make me cringe, this one had a funky beat, hmmm, I’m not going there, sorry Sami.
Next the song that Sami sang at bootcamp on X-Factor, Catch A Grenade For You by Bruno Mars.
There must have been a broad range of Sami’s fans in the Pavilion as Sami performed her next track, “At Last”, just for the older generation in the audience
Last two tracks and the finally one was her audition for X-Factor which was the Whitney Houston track One Moment In Time.
Sami performed her set very well and did a nice bit of banter with fair the audience, which actually puts people at ease when watching a show.
The Cavernites At The Katie Piper Charity Show
Come on folks the giveaway to these guys is in the name “Cavern”, yes these guys are a Beatles tribute band, I love the Beatles, so I’d been looking forward to this ever since Ceri mentioned to me on FB that they would be in the show.

You’ll never get a replacement for the mighty fab four, but these guys do a damn good job, they performed an played their instruments with a passion from the start right to the end. You can always guarantee that when it comes to people knowing songs and singing along to them they all know the Beatles, even the younger ones in the audience.
The audience loved their performance, always a good sign. So The Cavernites (@TheCavernites) ended a fantastic evening which was all for a good cause. If you get the chance to catch them, they go see them.
A Wonderful Night For All Ages At The Katie Piper Charity Show
Well done to Ceri Pritchard (@CeriAnn__) for bringing us this wonderful night, she did an outstanding hob pulling all the acts together to perform to a big audience of many ages and also thanks to the Rhyl Pavilion for accommodating me with a WiFi connection, so that I was able to tweet live from the charity event to raise money for the Katie Piper Foundation.
I can’t forget to mention the compare for the night Stevie Jaxx, he held the show together brilliantly, in between each act he brought in his own style of humor which was a nice break between acts, big thumbs up for Steve Jaxx, even though he made me do the Mexican Wave *giggle*.
I’m looking forward to more events like this and you just know that I’ll be there bringing you all a review
