Now it can be quite daunting at times keeping with your conversations that you may be having on Twitter or even finding out what those you are following are doing on Twitter.
I myself used to find it a real pain in the backside visiting the Twitter website all the time just to find out my replies etc.
But, there is some software out there that can seriously make Twittering that much easier and here I’m going to bring to your attention just some that I have use and in most cases am still using.
Tweetdeck is a great piece of software that you can open up columns of your choice to display messages, replies and what is happening with the one you are following, it’s simple to use and uses an Adobe Air desktop application to run the software.
Twhirl, this is my preferred program as it allows me to open up multiple Twitter accounts, which is ideal for me as I have my Twitter for this blog as well as one for my artist Twitter, it’s easy to use and very customizable, it too uses an Adobe Air desktop application and is a dream to use.
TwittyTunes this is a plugin for Firefox and enables you to post to Twitter with several options, you can post a normal Tweet, or you can post what you are listening to on iTunes, which is quite handy, I have this on my FireFox and it does come in useful sometimes.
So those are just a some of the Twitter Software that I use, if you know of any better or then let us all know

Thanks Karen. Do any of those email or alert you when you get a reply? I can see when I get a direct message but I don’t log into Twitter enough to catch replys. I’m very bad at Twitter but want to start getting more involved.

Karen! This is so well timed. I just started using twitter and had heard people mention Tweetdeck but not what it did or what it was used for. That would be really helpful as I log in and find out that I missed like 15 replies in the last 3 or 4 hours. It figures you get emails for messages though, since most of those I’ve found to just be spam.

All those time we spend on Twitter will accumulate and later we will realize we could have spent our time better.
