Posted by Karen in Uncategorized Those of you who have been reading my blog will of seen yesterday my post about the mindless idiots that threw paint of my gorgeous little Mini Cooper. After hours of tears and working to remove the paint from the paint work, we finally manage to remove it, but it had soaked in to all the black plastic trims that are around the Mini. Dis-hearted, I made my way up to Halliwell Jones in Llandudno to see what they could do, sadly BMW said it would have to be all new trims etc., which would cost me an absolute fortune, that’s until Darbey Valeting stepped in and had a quick test on the worst affected trim. Success! So today Darbey Valeting came to the house and started work on the car, suffice to say that they have done an outstanding job and my little pride and joy is looking very much back to it’s former glory.. My little Mini is now locked away in it’s little house safe and warm, it’s mothers car that’s gone out in the cold, hopefully nothing else will happen to hers as she’s got to find nearly £400 to have the car resprayed after the paint stripper was thrown at it… Finally a major big thank you to all of you that have been commenting and tweeting you thoughts and kind words, you guys and gals have kept me soldiering on through this and a really big shout out to my wonderful sis @quiffylaa31 for the hugs and support If you enjoyed reading this post, then please remember to post a comment, Subscribe to my RSS feed. Reply Karen Twitter: BlazingMinds says: April 7, 2011 at 9:22 pm Hi Craig, the guys that came out to clean it all off had to use a special tar remover, then they had to carefully wash the car so not to damage the paint work, they said that if I hadn’t had the protective coating on the cars paint work before it came out of the showroom then it would have been worse! I have heard of egging someones car, but throwing paint is really taking it to a new low. I just recently purchased a ford flex, which sort of reminds me of a stretched Mini, especially with the two tone paint on the body and roof. Unfortunately I don’t have room in my garage for it and it sits out in the driveway. Did you ever find out who it was that threw the paint?
