Lately on my blog I have been inundated with requests for many different reviews and freebies coming in to review and I promise you all, I’m slowly catching up on them … Slowly catchy monkey
Anyhoo a while back I was sent a link to a download of a new EP from the UK Based alternative/hip hop band called Bleed Electric aka Chris “MUG5″ Maguire, Dean “Silk” Fortt and Leon “Siege” Hassan, so how could I resist especially with the email request that came with it
After the success of the bands last EP “The Last Night of 1989” which was also self released back in September 2009, they are back with a new EP.
The five track EP titled “So Sick” is nothing like what I was expecting after downloading it, too be honest I wasn’t sure what to expect, but the first track in the five track EP is the title track and it just blew me away as it started.
The A-Side of the single titled ‘So Sick’ shows Bleed Electric’s first song collaboration with UK Producer and DJ, PRO and was recorded, produced, mixed and mastered by Bleed Electric and Chris “MUG5″ Maguire at Screamadelica Studios in Cardiff
I think I was expecting something that actually went with the title, something heavy and harsh, but it’s not and it’s a track that is really enjoyable to listen to, starting with what sounds like a synthesized guitar, adding some tasty vocal effects, then coming in a beat, then after a while the vocal go Hip Hop with that metal rock overtone from the guitar, outstanding.
It’s a track that has me fixed, and I’ve been listening to it quite a bit lately and the more I listen the more I pick up on the vocal effects and the deep lyrics.
The rest of the EP is also a good selection of tracks to listen to and the vocal are crisp and the lyrics are well written.
Altogether the EP is nicely put together and I could seriously imagine any of the tracks been hot in the charts, with a few edits for some of the language, and if it gets the credit it deserves and some seriously airplay, then this is a release that could seriously fly
The EP will official be released on 28th June, so keep your eyes peeled and your ears open for this one.

It’s great to read an album/EP review of some sort – I’ve been listening to top 40 lately and haven’t really tried out any new music. I went to Bleed Electric’s myspace but my browser crashed: I’ll try again soon.
Thanks again!

Mozilla seems to be crashing more and more these days. I can’t understand why aren’t they capable of solving this issues. People are starting to migrate towards other browsers because of this.
