Now you’ve probably seen titles like this on blogs before, but I’m not kidding, since joining the website MyLikes and using it to show followers what I like as well as some sponsored tweets, the website has paid for my Web Hosting for the last few months, which is brilliant.
If you haven’t heard of MyLikes then let me tell you what it is….
Mylikes is an advertising platform that allows Twitters to tweet their likes, this can be anything from a website through to everyday items, for example I have “MyLiked” [intlink id="review-skechers-shape-ups-walking-on-air" type="post"]Skechers[/intlink], Avatar, [intlink id="ez-combs-simply-effective-hairstyles" type="post"]EZ Combs[/intlink] and loads more. Not only can you select anything that you want, you can also “MyLike” sponsored tweet and posts, which are simple to do and earn you a little money for your efforts.
I don’t tweet too many sponsored tweets with MyLikes but those that I have done, have earned me enough each month to cover my hosting at EvoHosting. Each sponsored tweet you make is a CPC tweet, so to earn from these you have to have clicks, obviously the more people that follow you and the more that click on the link or ReTweet it for others to click, will earn you more.
Since using MyLikes I’ve seen the lowest CPC as $0.05 and the highest at $0.53 and as I’ve mentioned before, just by using MyLikes I’ve paid for the hosting of this blog and for the Remergence website, so it’s helping me out.
MyLikes is a great little earner and is ideal for twitters everywhere, but remember as with most advertising sites you use, don’t over do it, don’t tweet ads too much as this really puts off your followers, try to limit it to at least one a day, with MyLikes they will only allow you to post one sponsored tweet every 24 hours, so you can’ over do it, but you are using other sponsored tweet sites as well, then just be careful.

Paid to tweet sounds nice, but since this program is CPC. I only have about 400 followers and I don’t think many (because I don’t) click on links they think are ads.

Just wanted to say that when I joined MyLikes I had about 400 followers as well and I thought the same as you but decided to try it anyway. This will be my third week of making payout with MyLikes–with the low $2.00 minimum it’s not that difficult to do. And I recently got a raise at MyLikes from .21 per click to .28 per click so I’m quite happy with it so far. A few extra dollars for doing a few minutes of work each week makes me smile!

@benwaynet – I think 400 followers is a great start, you should give MyLikes a try because those hits will ad up for you.

It’s funny you mention that the title of your post looked like ones we have seen before because that’s what immediately came to mind! BUT, since I follow your blog and you consistently post useful, honest information, I read on (and am pleased that I did). Although I’m pretty sure that any big bucks earned using MyLikes will be limited to celebrities, having it pay for your hosting sounds like a pretty good deal.

Hi Karen. Correct me if I am wrong about this one. MyLikes is great but it is not for everybody. Most of the opps I’ve seen will only be valid if clicks come from certain countries, most of them being in the US. I do have an account and maybe I have not been exploring it that much. You are correct, that the sponsored posts are reflective of the clickers country..
Hey Karen, I like the way you look at your earnings (i.e. that mylikes has paid for your hosting for a few months) because so many people these days fail to see how lots of little wins can turn into big wins.
Also, even the smallest earnings can, and do in my case, motivate a great deal. I figure that if I can earn $20 this month and up it to $30 next month and then even more the following month, then I will eventually earn enough to make a big difference in my life.

Only a couple, but I have gained a few more followers by tweeting other stuff in-between such as RT’s, photos from my mobile phone and just general tweeting. So adding interesting tweets does help

The more followers and such you have seems to make you more per click. I have almost 6,000 followers and i only make 21cent per click. I only follow like 5,300 I think that is not right. I continue to use mylikes inviting people to the site liking other likes. Somehow it seems as if my cpc is not rising and my influence score is not i have a 2 on my influence score. MyLikes is totally new to me. Is this really effective in driving traffic to my website? I am into offline advertising. Its effective. For example, I’ve had great luck with postcards, display ads, classified ads and recently radio advertising, which I am finding very interesting for driving qualified leads to my business.

Thanks for the MyLikes review. I went over to the homepage of MyLikes and had a better look. The tagline for MyLikes is “Word of mouth advertising platform connecting advertisers with influencers” which seems to sum up pretty well what they do (based on your review). I’m going to look more into this, it could fit my business model very well.
