So the other day I received a text from a friend asking me what my perfect job would be, well this got me thinking and after I while I still wasn’t sure, but then it hit me!

What Would Your Perfect Job Be?

I pondered on the many aspects of what I do now, ok blogging does take up a lot of my time and it does fit in nicely with my daytime work, but then I got on to thinking about my blogging and what I enjoy blogging about.

The answer was movies! No surprise there really, as a lot of you know that read Blazing Minds, I do a lot of movie reviews and this is all thanks to the amazing staff at @ApolloCinemas Rhyl and movies have always been my passion.

Since I was a child I have always been fascinated by the movie making process from the early silent movies right up to modern-day techniques, if I’d my way I would have loved to be in the movie business. But all thanks to a rather crappy careers adviser in school, all notion of the film industry were completely pushed away.

“Don’t Be Stupid Child, It’s Office Work For You!”

My interest in photography and film was completely quashed and though my interest in the field has always been there, it’s only been recently that I have gotten back on track and started doing something interesting and exciting with a topic that I have always loved.

Maybe now I can get motivated in to being in a field that I enjoy. Not as a big mega movie star but just in the business in general and this is probably why I love going to see films on the big screen and have a good collection of DVDs, it all fascinates me.

So the answer to my friends text is “I’d love to be on the view finder side of the movie camera”. But for now, unless someone discovers a hidden talent of mine, it looks like I’ll be slowly making my way through as the Blazing Minds Movie Reviewer/Blogger ;)

So it’s now over to you, what would your perfect job be?

I would love to be on the production crew for the UK’s no. 1 car show, Top Gear! I’m a “gear head” or as the Brits say “Petrol Head”. I love cars and to be on their production team would be the ultimate job is not honor!

Oops, that was suppose to be “IF not an honor”. Brain goes faster than I can type sometimes.

Movie production is fascinating as well! All that behind the scenes stuff is intriguing!

My ideal job would to be an internet marketer. I love being online, blogging, website design and so on. This is the type of stuff that I like to do.

For now I work in a tools store, but I am still doing my blogging and marketing. I hope one day I can sit at home and still make a living online. :)

I love motor racing so I’d love to be a successful race car driver who gets paid to do what he enjoys! But I was never in the financial position to really consider it seriously.

Great article Karen. I know for me, lately I’m burnt out on what I’m doing and feeling like I over stayed my welcome doing it. I’m always looking to do something different. I can’t seem to stop thinking about becoming a full time, “Elite Travel and Vacation Connoisseur” :)

I would have to agree Karen. Typically I plan on a 5 year investment in any of the startups I do, so far I’ve flipped all but one of those investments, the tanning salons being that one. This one is unique due to it’s size, the industry and how one would exit vs my other businesses.

    I guess time will tell….

I don’t want to be condescending, but there are loads of ways to get into film-making that do not involve Hollywood budgets. Just don’t expect to see a big Cannes release. Set reasonable expectations and then go for it. There are people making low-budget movies right across the planet.
