Those of you who have been following me on Twitter, will have seen a couple of weeks ago, me tweeting about some careless git who had caught the trim on my new Mini Cooper, suffice to say I was extremely upset!!!
I wouldn’t have minded if whoever had done it, had left a note on the windscreen saying, “I’m so sorry, I caught your car, here’s my number to contact me”, but no, not a thing and thanks to this, I’m not going to swear, person it has just cost me £83.92 to have the part replaced and fitted, I mean come on, I’m not made of money in the first place and this is a major chunk out of my weeks wages to have this done.

Now my Mini Cooper looks how it should with a nice shiny trim to match the rest of the car, but it just so annoys me that people just give a damn, I mean not as if it’s a major repair job, I know it cost a bit, but it’s not as if it was the front wing, thank goodness, but you would think that people would admit to doing the it and not just drive away and get away with it.
I hope that they are reading this blog post and feel really guilty over this minor “hit and run”, just because it’s a new car doesn’t mean that a warranty covers this time of damage and I’ve had to fork out my hard-earned wages for damage caused by some complete idiot….
Hmmm I feel a bit better now that’s off my chest….

Bastards! I hate it when that happens
But before we start cursing them, is it possible that it could have happened without them noticing? Like if they were listening to loud music while scratching it or something. I don’t know.
No matter what, people just need to leave a note with contact information, so they can clean up their own mess.

It’s frustrating when you don’t know who caused the damage, but karma has a way of evening things out. Not that we wish bad on anyone, it just happens at some point.
An employee of my husbands crashed into the back end of my pick up truck a few years back. They all knew he did it, but no one ever paid to get it fixed. I’m still irritated and I don’t even own the truck any more. Guess I really should let it go.

I hope Karma comes along and bites them in the ass….. I think it’s something that will always niggle us when people own up or even pay up!

Even if they were listening to loud music they would have felt the bump as they were driving. The person behind this is most likely a stuck up, male businessman with nothing else on his mind other than how his hair looks. A gentleman would have waited or put a note up like you mentioned, it really does annoy me when people do this kind of thing, why should you have to pay out for someone else’s poor driving!

I admit I listen to loud music in the car, but I turn it down when I’m driving somewhere that needs my concentration, you may be right it might of been a stuck up so and so

Sorry to hear that. I will feel the same thing as I love my Sentra so much that I don’t want people putting their bags or things on the hood or trunk. Bad Karma for the person who did that to your car.

I am sorry to hear that. It seems that people are the same in any place of the world
They just can’t admit when they are wrong and to pay for their mistakes. Anyway, it’s good that it wasn’t worse (trying to cheer you up

My 2010 Mustang now has a custom made decal at the bottom of my door from some a hole that hit it in a Kroger parking lot. Makes me want to buy a semi truck and destroy the entire parking lot. I feel your frustration.

It’s amazing how people can do something like that and not feel guilty. Then again, so many people just want to get away with things. Sorry this happened to you.

I know how you feel Karen, I had my near side door completely smashed in by one of these socially inept halfwits. I can only say that it not too dissimilar a feeling to discovering that you have been burgled – there is no real way of finding the individual and so venting your anger! Looks like a great repair job though.

Good call letting that out here on your blog, no sense holding on to it and letting it drag you down. People are so ridiculous and careless these days it’s sickening.
