There seems to be nothing better than relaxing on a nice day reading a book with a glass of wine and that’s exactly what I’ve been doing lately, reading some of my books, that I haven’t read for a while and luckily the weather has been perfect for it, sitting in the garden on a garden chair, taking in the relaxation of a good book!
So what am I reading this week?
Well I’ve started reading “The Chronicles of Narnia” books again and I’m currently half way through the third book “The Horse and his Boy”, I love these books and this must be the sixth or seventh time that I’ve read all seven books and they are just wonderful to read.
I should be finished reading them by the end of next week, so then it’s back to reading one of my other books that I enjoy either “Mort” by Terry Pratchett or “The Hobbit” by J.R.R. Tolkien. As you can see I’m a bit of a fantasy reader, I think with everything going on in the world to day there is nothing better than escaping to some far off world or mystical land and getting away from the normal day-to-day routines of life.
So, what book or books are you currently reading at the moment and what are your favourite genre or writers?

I do love reading a good book, unfortunately I don’t read an fiction or fantasy books, maybe im missing out but the book im reading now is “The social life of information” by John Seely Brown and Paul Duguid.
If I was to buy a more fictional book, what would you suggest? The two books above?

I would suggest the books above and maybe a few Terry Pratchett books such as “Mort” and “The Last Continent”

Karen, in the digital world we are living in, I still found reading a paper book very interesting indeed. Leafing, laying down in the sun, concentrating in the content of a book is really helpful and I think this is how it can be therapeutic.
I am interested in many themes so I can not tell you something specific however you’ll find me in many genre. Anyway, couple of weeks ago I blogged about how I do shopping for books and I’ve attached it to this reply in case you are interested.

I do prefer reading “proper” books, there is nothing like the feel of a well read book, I’ve read your post before and commented

I’m not into reading books but I find myself reading some good non fiction books. So you won’t see me reading Narnia or ROTR or anything like that.

I voted for Chronicles of Narnia, although I love The Hobbit too. I’m big on science fiction and fantasy. I very rarely read anything else, unless it’s spiritual nonfiction.
