A little while back I posted about the [intlink id="rhyl-perfect-place-visit" type="post"]Children’s Village in Rhyl[/intlink] and how disgusted I was the state of the so-called fountain that used to be in the middle of the car park on the walk up to the middle of the Children’s Village.

Well Today I visited Rhyl again and as I got out of the car in the car park, I could smell the distinctive odour of wet paint!

The fountain that was once full of stagnant water and rubbish has now been filled with what seems to be rubble from a demolition site and it’s around it has all had a lick of light grey paint, which doesn’t look to bad, but not sure about the rubble though!

Rhyl Children's Village Fountain Make Over

Ok it does a little better, but the rubble is a bit shoddy and a bit of a DIY job… But it didn’t take long for it to start filling up with rubbish as on the way back to the car I noticed that the discarded items from those that do not know what a bin is for had started to reappear..

Maybe the council is pushing forward trying to rectify a lot of it’s ugly locations, maybe my earlier blog post helped push them a little, I’d like to think so.

But in the meantime, I do have hope for that some of the eyesores will be removed one by one and I will be keeping my blog readers updated on anymore inprovements ;)

Again, it’s been placed on Stumbleupon – just hope your monitoring of the situation can get more attention, especially with locals. Shame is a powerful motivating factor for a given government.

At the end it all depends on peoples education. If people are not educated enough to know when they are doing a bad thing this is what will happen…
