Grand Canyon, Telluride, Costa Rica, Taos, Encinitas….
all very dog friendly with hikes, outdoor activity, views of the mountains (Encinitas the beaches and ocean fun at it’s finest).
Telluride & Taos… awesome skiing…. Season pass at Taos (oh yeah doing that again this year!), also gets you days at Telluride.
Costa Rica and Kauai – love the tropics. Warm evening on the patio with a drink and some good food… not too much and mostly plants is a great way to bring the day to a close before getting out on the beaches for more fun in the sun and water the following day
Wag more!

Hey, we’ll be passing right by Telluride in our next holiday – a long 100 days long road trip in the American West. We plan on driving up 550 and stop at Ouray for the night. May hop over to see Telluride too if the weather is good.

-White Pass Ski Resort
-Seattle Washington
-Any campground along the Columbia, Yakima, and/or Snake rivers in Washington state.
-Spokane Washington
-North San Diego California
-Portland Oregon
All favorites because we can use our recreational trailer to stay in, have friends to stay with, and/or because we have 5 kids who are extremely expensive to vacation with if we don’t watch our pennies!

With two very little kids we try not to travel on the holidays. So our favorite destinations would be our family
Grandpa’s
Great-grandma’s
Sisters’
and some day Disney World with the whole family
Karen, thanks for stopping by my site and leaving the comment.

1 – Christopher Creek in Arizona. Fond memories as a child visiting that site, the sound of the wind in the pine trees, and the sound of the water flowing over stones.
2 – The beach. Any beach? No… I like sandy beaches. The less people the better.
3 – Paris. The food… the art… the bread… the lights… the bread. And the bread is good, too.
4 – Pittsburgh. Really? Yeah… I have family there.
5 – Taos, New Mexico. Small town, fantastic skiing.
6 – Cozumel, Mexico. Jungle, beaches, and all inclusive resorts. Swim up bars.

Wow – 6 destinations for holiday? I don’t think I’ve even been 6 different places my entire life.
There was one place that had a special charm – Niagara Falls, at the US/Canadian border. It’s just a ton of water, falling, yet is strangely lots of fun to be at.

1 The great state of Kentucky – it’s simply beautiful year round
2 Sierra Nevada mountains – same as above + great hunting, fishing, camping
3 Green Bay, WI during football season – Great atmosphere, food, and football
4 Cincinnati, OH – Family
5 Alaska – Never been there, but I can think of no place I’d rather go.
6 My Back Yard – I have one of the nicest beaches on the Gulf of Mexico right here, sitting under a shade tree with a cool drink enjoying the sea breeze can not be beat!
