going green 261x300 Saturday Six Green!Ok it’s that time again for the Saturday Six and this week I’ve gone green, not like the Hulk, but green as in the environment. So without any further ado here’s this weeks six:

  1. Do you recycle?
  2. Have you fitted any energy saving light bulbs?
  3. If you don’t have far to go, do you walk or still use your car?
  4. Have you turned down your thermostats by one degree?
  5. Do you leave your TV etc on standby or turn it off at the wall?
  6. Do you wash your clothes on a 30 setting or higher?

As usual you can either answer the questions here or copy the questions on to your blog with a link back here (and leave a link in the comments).

    3. We don’t own a car
    4. I usually keep it set at 65 or 66 in the winter (60 at night while we are asleep) – doing that for years, so no change
    5. Electronics get shut off when not in use
    6. Ihave no idea what a 30 setting is – I wash clothes in cold water, always have.

Turning down your house temperature by one degree is supposed to be good for the environment, but not so good for us to keep warm ;)

It seems nearly everyone I talk to leaves things on Standby, but my argument is modern flat TV’s go to standby when you press the on/off switch!
