It’s that time again for this weeks Saturday six and this weeks theme is photography, so without further a do let’s get on with it:

  1. Do you use a Digital or Film camera?
  2. Do you print the photos yourself or get them printed for you?
  3. Do you upload your photos to sites such as fickr or photobucket?
  4. Do you photo anything and everything or does your camera only come out on special occasions such as birthdays etc.?
  5. When was the last time you upgraded to a new camera?
  6. If you could have any camera on the market which one would you choose and why?

Thanks for taking part. If you would like to nominate a theme for the next Saturday Six then you can Tweet me on Twitter and if you are on entrecard the winning theme will get 200 ECs in my Saturday Six Entrecard Competition.

This is a GREAT theme…I love it! And…here are my replies:

    1. I shoot pure digital these days.
    2. I never print myself. I usually get my prints from Flickr. Occasionally, I have them printed directly at Target, but I hate the glossy, so I prefer matte and therefore will have Flickr ship them to me. I have been immensely happy with the print quality from Flickr – and since that’s what I use for my photo management (online), it’s very convenient.
    3. I guess it’s clear from #2, but I use Flickr obsessively. I have almost 7,000 public photos on my Flickr (http://flickr.com/photos/mugsy). I’ve been using Flickr for almost five years now. Whoa.
    4. I take a LOT of photos. My family now knows they don’t have to bother with their cameras as I can usually be counted on to document all events. We have a small point and shoot that I will bring along when I don’t feel like hefting the dSLR with me everywhere. But I hate using it, since it pales in comparison to what I can do with my “real” camera.
    5. I got my current camera (Canon 350D) about two years ago. Although the latest lens I got for it was only about six weeks ago, so I consider that my most recent “upgrade”.
    6. Realistically, I’d want a Canon 50D. Sure, there are cameras that are way more powerful, but I can’t justify being able to take advantage of it. If I had my druthers (and my wife lets me spend part of my bonus this year the way I want) I’d buy a Canon 50D with the Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L lens. That would make me SO happy. But that’d run me about $2,200, so it’s likely I’ll only be able to get the lens and not a new body. But that would still be awesome.
