When you power down you computer,as soon as it’s off all the other peripherals shut down as well, I use it when running my anti-virus software and using the shut down PC option, then everything powers down!

Uhm so this thing will power down everything in the socket after you shutdown your computer right? I guess this is helpful if you are running an anti virus or downloading a file from torrent and set it up so your PC will shutdown when they finish.

But for everyday life, you can always just push the button from your extension cord where your computer peripherals (modem, router, speakers, printer, etc) are plugged in whenever you shutdown your PC, say at night or when you are leaving. Otherwise I don’t think I need this device.

Jezz I don’t know if I woudl trust this. I think ti’s cool the product helps you lose power but I’m a freak when it comes to turning off all appliances that aren’t needed. Recently a family in our city died from a laptop fire. Can you image something so brutal happening to yourself.

I use to run my torrent for weeks and weeks but now I shut my pc down and everything else every night. This product would work real well for this reason perhaps.

That it awesome! I have never heard of this before. I am a little confused though. Does it turn off my computer automatically if I go to bed… or do I have to power it down myself and it turns everything off?

Can you set your Anti-Virus software to power-down your computer automatically after it does it’s scan? We just have all our computers on 24-7 around here and I would love it if they would power down automatically each night.

Saving energy when you turn off your computer…

A few weeks ago we received some free e-on energy light bulbs in the post and in the box was a card for a free Desktop Computer Intelliplug, so without further a do, I filled in the card and posted it back, it was free after all….
