Those of you who are avid readers of Blazing Minds may have noticed that there has been some subtle changes, some cosmetic and some the addition of some WordPress plugins!

So why the change?

After reading the blog post “Wordpress Plugin Changes and Requests” over at ExtremeJohn’s Blog I decided to make a few changes, first of all I decided to add SexyBookmarks, which I think looks nicer than the earlier social bookmark system I used to have, also started using Analytics 360 which now hooks up my Google Analytics to my WordPress dashboard so I can check out my stats from my blog.

Another handy plugin which I have added is Twitter Friendly Links which runs in partnership with Analytics 360 and gives me my own personal short url.

On top of adding these new plugins and removing some that I had no use for anymore, I have also removed some of the stuff from the sidebars and also reduced the size of some of the sidebar boxes. Yes I still have the ads running, I’ve got to make some amount of money somewhere to keep the hosting going for my blog.

Over the next few weeks I will be checking out the plugins that I have and may be removing and tweaking the blog a bit more, so keep your eyes peeled for further updates..

Wordpress looks great and I love the comment system, but it’s too difficult for me to use. Gave up a long time ago.

    Have a terrific day. :)

The new changes look great. I have just installed Analytics360 and will be looking into it to see if it’s what I need for my site.

I like the SexyBookmarks plugin, I had it installed on my site but removed it and coded the details for everyone to share my posts.

Thanks for sharing this info :)
