I love Star Wars and being a child of the 70′s I was one of the lucky ones to see the original trilogy in its almighty glory on the big screen when they were originally released, none of this re-vamped, re-hashed, CGI’ed nonsense and the argument of who shot first Han or Greedo.

And with the news sometime back that George Lucas had sold Star Wars to Disney, what better time to have a video parody of the Star Wars Saga, specially as Disney has announced that several new Star Wars films are on the way and the possibility of the likes of Harrison Ford, Mark Hammill and Carrie Fisher returning to the new films.
Now a lot of Star Wars fans love the original trilogy as it was without the wizardery-pokery of the CGI and this can be clearly heard in this wonderful parody of the Gotye track “Somebody That I used To Know”.
I do have to say that I prefer this track over the original Goyte version and I do play it quite a lot on my iPod, may be to the point of playing it on repeat at sometimes, but hey what can I say, it’s just a track that a lot of “true” Star Wars fans will agree with, specially those of us that saw the original trilogy in its original state in the cinema the first time round.
The video is made by Teddie Films and as I mentioned above uses the hit track by Gotye to full effect to express in music how many feel over how George Lucas has constantly updated, tweaked and made us sit through so many variations on the classic Star Wars trilogy, not to mention the prequels (I said don’t mention the prequels!).
The Star Wars That I Used To Know!
So what do you think of the parody track? Do you think it’s getting the point across and do you agree?

Hey Karen,
*lol* Love this. I’m a fan of the original Star Wars. It was never the same with all the remakes, changes, additions, etc. You have to admit that George Lucas is a genius though for getting us all to eat it up time and time again.
