He has flown through space as Captain Kirk, arrested criminals on the tough streets of Los Angeles as veteran officer T.J. Hooker, and played a Boston lawyer most recently. However, can William Shatner survive a fiery bus crash?
In the world of getting as much bang for your buck (no pun intended), a new commercial that was to begin airing Jan. 23, shows the famed actor in his well-known ‘Priceline Negotiator’ role meeting his demise. Or does he?
Priceline, which has been using Shatner in its ads for more than a decade now, debuts this latest commercial with the idea of leaving a lasting impression on television and online viewers. If that was the goal, mission accomplished.
Shatner, who has gone were few men have gone before, is seen in this latest ad helping get passengers off a bus that is dangling over a bridge. In his heroic attempt (successful we might note), he saves the lives of the tourists, only to find himself and the bus plunging to a fiery end.
According to a Priceline spokesperson, “We only killed off the negotiator. William Shatner is still under contract (reportedly one year remaining).”

Some sad news has recently been announced by the Blog Advertising Network, CMF Ads, the website will be closing its doors to its members on the 30th October, a sad do for those of us who have been with the site almost from the start.
Why Is CMF Ads Closing?
That was the question that I have asked and so have many other users of the Blog Advertising Network and Ben posted up on the CMF Ads blog with the reason:
For several months we have noticed a sharp decline in activity across the site. Many of our advertisers have simply stopped coming back.
We have had several attempts to bring the site back to life, such as Atomic Ads, but these have hardly been used. We have also noticed a big decrease in the amount of payments coming into the site. General site usage is also down.
There are always reasons for activity to decline, such as people going on holiday, having time off work or school, going back to work or school, going outside during the summer, and so on. However, there’s only so long you can come up with excuses. It’s reached the point where we can’t ignore it any longer.
It seems such a shame that the site is closing for me it’s been a good staple diet of traffic with the Sparks and Firework ads, that for a small cost would allow me to advertise on other sites for the fraction of the cost of some of the bigger advertising sites.
But as they say “All good things must come to an end”!
What If You Have A Balance Left In Your Account!
Don’t worry about that, members will have up to the 23rd October to request a “cashout” of funds over $1 (once a new cashout method is in place). So that should keep most people happy, of cause you could donate your funds back to Ben at CMF Ads.
Farewell CMF Ads
So goodbye CMF Ads and thank you for all the traffic you have sent me over the years and good luck to Ben with his future ventures

If you ‘re a blogger then probably one of the things that you are doing to get revenue from your blog is to have advertising running, from either Google Adsense or independent advertises paying you so much for a mother advertising or even more, but what is the best Ad size to have on your blog and which ones do the advertisers prefer.
Since starting Blazing Minds, I’ve had several adverts running on the site and I started off, as most people probably do, with Google Adsense, by placing a banner at the top of the site to bring in a little to help with the running of the site.
My Most Popular Ad Sizes
But when it came to advertisers wanting to buy Ads on my blog that was a different matter and I pondered on what size ads to sell on Blazing Minds, I tried several sizes and there was only one size that seemed to get more offers than others and that was the 125×125 size add.
Now I’m not too sure why this Ad size is popular, maybe it’s the fact that sites such as CMF Ads, EntreCard and a few others have as their default size.

The other day I was surfing around the net and doing my usual Tweets, when I got an inviting tweet from @billboardfamily and it was something I just couldn’t resist:
So I decided to stop by The Billboard Family and see what it was all about and I was surprised by what I found, it basically boils down to a family that will advertise you for a day or days via T-Shirts that you send them and ask them to wear, crazy I know, but what a brilliant way to get a bit of advertising by a family of four wearing your merchandise and promoting you.

As I mentioned earlier the family of four Carl Martin, his wife and two children act as a human billboard and promote you to the masses. They promote via the FaceBook, Twitter, Flickr, YouTube and on their own website, they live in the St. Louis, Missouri area, but they travel and take vacations frequently. Some of the places have traveled to include Chicago, IL, Seattle, WA, Walt Disney World™ Orlando, FL, and the Southern Illinois University (SIU) area in Illinois. But is this effective and does it work globally or just locally, lets find out shall we.

After reading some interesting information on the website LinkFromBlog I decided to join and see if it was any good.
LinkFromBlog is a website which will allow you to advertise on blogs and also gives bloggers the chance to make a little on the side from their blogging revenue, it does look quite good and $50 (£30) for a referral does sound nice.
It’s always good to try something a little new and over the next month or so I’ll keep you all posted on how this works..
