Google Music is only one of the latest in a series of new cloud-based music services from major companies, including Amazon. These services, sometimes referred to as “music lockers”, allow web users to keep copies of their MP3 music files that they can access from anywhere and from any device, giving them the ability to play them at any time.
For music lovers, these services, especially the free ones, are enticing, but they also have their limitations. Rather than review a particular cloud music service, we thought it might be helpful for you to get an overview of the concept and examine some of the benefits and drawbacks of the services in general.
Pros
1. Portability – You can access your music anywhere. With some of the services, that includes your computers, laptops, tablets, smartphones, and any other web-connected devices. If you are frequently on the go and have many devices, this feature saves you time and memory space on your devices.

Some time back when I first started blogging on the Remergence Blog, I also started using a website called Squidoo, some of you may now about this site and some may not, so allow me to enlighten you
Squidoo allows you to build “lenses”, you can build as many as you like and about any subject that you choose. I originally started a “lens” for Remergence as an experiment to see if I could get some more fans and traffic to the Remergence website, which it actually did.
Not only that, but, it also allows you to earn from the “Lenses” via sites such as eBay, Amazon, Zazzle, Cafepress and more, always good to earn a little more pocket-money on the side.
So, now that I have got used to using Squidoo, I have started some other lenses to not only promote Blazing Minds, but I’ve now started a new lens called “Promoting Your Blog on the Internet“, this new lens allows me to create a sort of “How to..” page and update the links to books about blogging and also add updates to the information such as “Top WordPress plugins” etc.
Why not use this blog?
Having a lens on Squidoo allow me to update the single page as much as I like, also earning from Squidoo does help as well. I don’t think that Squidoo will make me very wealthy, what program does? But, much like hubpages, I can produce some interesting “How to..” pages that hopefully people will find interesting enough to link to and on a plus side I can add my most recent posts from my blog that could possibly send some traffic in this direction.
Though I am novice at using Squidoo and I’m entirely sure of its full potential, anything is worth a try to see how it works

Now for those that are wondering what TuneCore is then read my post “Getting Your Music Released – Tunecore Vs CD Baby”
So what’s this “On Demand” all about then, well to put it simply, TuneCore now has he option to have Amazon.com produce a physical copy of your album when it is needed, so you don’t have to have a mass of CDs produced, when someone orders a physical copy from Amazon.com a CD is manufactured and dispatched, yes it’s that simple.
How much does it cost, well that’s the great thing, just select the option of Amazon on Demand when you select which stores you would like your music delivered to and then just select the type of template you would like for the release, don’t worry your cover art is used for the release, so try to match the template to the colours of your cover art.
Then you have to select your pricing for the On Demand release which you can chose from t lowest value which is $8.98 (you receive $3.59) to the highest value $19.98 (you receive $7.99), then just wait for the release to go live and that’s all there is to it.
I have just used this for the Remergence release of Probably [Single] , so hopefully this should be available soon at Amazon.com using the On Demand..
So it’s a case of time will tell to see how this works

There has been quite a lot of buzz going around at the moment about the new pricing structure over on iTunes, with a three tier system been introduced, meaning that tracks will now cost 59p, 79p and 99p to download, but what does this mean and how is it going to work.
Well to put it simply the most popular tracks will cost more, where as the least popular will cost less, well that’s the theory anyway, but knowing how the big wig labels work, they will probably decide to charge the full cost anyway!
But wait, there are alternatives to downloading your music via iTunes and a lot of them are a heck of a lot cheaper, for example the new album by The Prodigy – Invaders Must Die is £6.32 at iTunes, £5.43 at Amie Street and £5.82 on Amazon, so there are the legal DRM Free alternatives out there.
So search around the net and if you are downloading make sure they are legal and DRM Free, I personally always check the above three sites before downloading as I know that money is tight these days and every little saving, no matter how small, always helps.
