There has been quite a lot of buzz going around at the moment about the new pricing structure over on iTunes, with a three tier system been introduced, meaning that tracks will now cost 59p, 79p and 99p to download, but what does this mean and how is it going to work.
Well to put it simply the most popular tracks will cost more, where as the least popular will cost less, well that’s the theory anyway, but knowing how the big wig labels work, they will probably decide to charge the full cost anyway!
But wait, there are alternatives to downloading your music via iTunes and a lot of them are a heck of a lot cheaper, for example the new album by The Prodigy – Invaders Must Die is £6.32 at iTunes, £5.43 at Amie Street and £5.82 on Amazon, so there are the legal DRM Free alternatives out there.
So search around the net and if you are downloading make sure they are legal and DRM Free, I personally always check the above three sites before downloading as I know that money is tight these days and every little saving, no matter how small, always helps.
