After the success of the Blogger Interviews on my blog I decided to do the same with artists/bands and having known a few bands over the years through my own electronica music, I asked several of them if they would mind having an interview on Blazing Minds so they could get the word out on their music perhaps get some new fans.
Quite a few decided they would like to do the interview and these are the ones that are listed in this post, though a few never got back to me, which was a real shame, but for those that did I do hope that the interview that they have had posted has helped their fan bases a tad..
If you are in a band or are a solo artist and would like to have an interview with Blazing Minds they just contact me for more info

Now this has probably been done already, but, I thought I would have a bit of a giggle with my Twitter friends today, so I’m going to start a new hash tag #AltSongTitle.
Early today I was tweeting away with @John_C and I tweeted this:

So I though we could all have a bit of a laugh and post alternative song titles.
Just tweet your alternative song title and add the #AltSongTitle hash tag to your tweet and lets see how many good ones we can get out there
UPDATE
Just started a Twub for the AltSongTitle HashTag, so please stop by and join in with the fun

Those of you that read my blog will have read at sometime a collection of Blogger Interviews and Artist/Band Interviews, sadly these have now come to an end with the last Blogger Interview been posted this Thursday.
So now the call goes out to those of you who have blogs and read Blazing Minds, if you are a blogger then give me a shout by either contacting me or leave a comment the same goes for artists/bands.
Then I can get the questions to you so you can be included in either the Blogger Interviews or the Who’s The Band feature, so hope to hear from anyone wanting a bit of promo

Ok to follow on from one of my previous posts about CDBaby vs Tunecore, there is now another road that unsigned artists and Indie music lables can take and it WaTunes.com.
As quoted in the WaTunes blog from CEO Kevin Rivers :
We’ve went from being free to be charged, to giving 90% of sales, to giving back all the sales earnings. We’ve finally can say that we have raise the bar even higher by providing you guys an ABSOLUTE digital distribution service. As of now, WaTunes will enable it’s customers to continue to sell unlimited music, earn 100% of the royalties, and more, ALL FOR FREE! There are no fees, cancellations, no gimmicks.
WaTunes allows an artist to upload their music for FREE as mp3 songs, yes you read that right for FREE and then get released on music stores such as iTunes and Amazon, all you have to do is sign up and then upload your content in a ZIP file via the website and your off.. Yes it is really that simple.
I recently joined WaTunes to try the process out and released the single of Starlight by my humble little music adventure Remergence to see how the process works, uploading had a few teething problems, but I think this was mainly down to my broadband connection, but I have uploaded a zipped file which includes four tracks and artwork and it was quite painless and Kevin Rivers the CEO at WaTunes, was extremely helpful and may I say very quick at emailing me with help, thanks Kevin.
The process is convert your music tracks to 320kbps and include your cover art in the form of a 600×600 image, zip them all in one file and upload, yeah, that’s it, then wait for the contents to be previewed and distributed.
So now it’s just a waiting game for the release to go live, it is currently listed as “in review” so hopefully over the next few weeks the release will go live and be available on iTunes, Rhapsody, eMusic and more, hopefully…
UPDATE:
24-Apr: Starlight [Single] already listed at ShockHound
29-Apr: Starlight [Single] listed on iTunes

Now I must admit that I have been a fan of Inner Surge for many years and I thought it was just about time that I actually got of my proverbial backside and get the much acclaimed album Signals Screaming, so I did! And here’s my humble CD Review.
Originally released back in 2007 the album is just pure energy from the Canadian rock/metal band, with the opening track getting you quite unprepared for the blast of vocals that the album will bring to you, more of a thrash metal on some tracks, but with a mixture of the metal genre put in it’s deserved place.
These guys are just awesome and fans of groups such as Rage Against the Machine and Tool will love this album, tracks go from strength to strength and then you get the track “Wolves” which calms everything down, outstanding.
Streaming the tracks on the internet, just don’t do this album any justice you need to either download the album or get it on CD and play it LOUD, very LOUD and appreciate the power and the effort that Inner Surge have gone in to to produce not only an enjoyable album but one which you want to listen to over and over again!
9.5/10 Awseome
For more albums from Inner Surge check out CDBaby and for information on the band visit the official Inner Surge website.
