RC- Toy story

I am going to start with something you don’t see appearing in these kinds of posts usually and that is RC from Toy Story! Although a lot of you might be thinking why I have included a small role character in this post just think about it for a second, without RC the plot would not have moved forward (Buzz being pushed out the window) and at the end of the movie RC saves the day with the rocket lit whilst Woody and Buzz are on the back!

Of course the other reason that this is in the list it because I grew up watching this movie and will use any excuse thrown in a character!

Batmobile

The reason that I have included this on the list is simple because it is a vehicle that has grown up with the franchise and not just in the movies. With every comic book, graphic novel and movie it seems Batman and the Batmobile are taken on in a slightly different way. In my opinion the best one we have seen over the yearsis the one in the original television series and this is simply because there are so many gadgets seen in the car.

The issue I have with the new car (the tumbler) is that it really is just a tank and the numbers of gadgets within the car are pretty limited.

Back To the Future of course is the film that made this one famous and since then the car has been voted top of hundreds of car lists.  In Doc Brown’s own words “if you’re going to build a time machine out of a car, why not do it with some style!” and of course something to do with the stainless steel construction too.

One of the high points to my Florida trip last year was seeing one of the original cars in pristine condition and my high hopes are to one day own a replica of the car. They are fantastic and really make the series what it is, perfect.

AMC Pacer “Rhapsody”

This one is of course the car from Wayne’s World and is most famous for its liquorice compartment at the top of the car and of course the performance of Bohemian Rhapsody that can be seen in the video above. This movie actually pushed the song back to no#2 in the charts nearly twenty years after it was released!

Although this is by no means a complete list it is just a few of the cars that I grew up watching on the screen. They are also films that I can go back to at any stage and what time and time again. Some of the other obvious movies where the cars feature heavily are Ghostbusters, Bullit, The Italian Job, Ferris Buekker’s Day Off and of course who could forget The Blues Brothers and the entire Bond franchise!
