I was reading a post over at the Extreme John Blog the other day titled “10 Worst TV Shows” and it inspired me to write a post on something which really annoys me every time I turn on the TV and that is the amount of celebrity shows that we have on the TV these days.

The TV executives have even started revamping old shows and making them in to celebrity versions, where as many years ago you would have seen the public on a show trying to win prizes for themselves, now it celebrities doing the same thing but for their charities and no doubt the celebrities get paid for doing the shows anyway. It’s that time of year again when Channel 4 decide to bombard with a complete and utter pile of … careful Karen might tell me of for swearing Yes it’s time for Celebrity Big Brother which begs the question:

WHY?

Plain and simply really, why do channel 4 bother with this complete and utter dribble, it’s bad enough having just suffered Help I’m a Washed Up Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here. It seems that everything is celebrity these days, don’t they get enough stardom and lime light from what they do anyway, oh hang most of them have a flagging career anyway

Yes, I know what fans of the show will say, “If you don’t like it don’t watch it!” ok that may be the case but then every time you turn on the TV in the morning it’s this celebrity did this, that celebrity did that, I DON’T CARE!!!!!!

Ok my rant is over …. Or is it?

OK here it is my Monday Moan, I know this will step on a few toes, but to be honest, I DON’T CARE!!!!!!!

Well I’m afraid it’s nearly that time again when descent, watchable telly goes right out the window and Ch4 is about to bring us Celebrity Big Brother.

Yes I know there are so many “fans” out there that spend all night watching the live feed on TV and then doing nothing but talk about it the next day in work to anyone and everyone, you know who you are!

So what is all the fuss!?

Personally I would prefer some good TV such as some interesting dramas or even the TV companies to stop axing the good programmes such as Eli Stone or Pushing Daisies.

I really don’t understand the “thrill” that people get from watching a collection of has been celebs making complete idiots out of themselves, I mean it bad enough with the standard Big Brother, but come on, has TV really come to this. Will celebrities stop at nothing, what next celebrity sitting on the toilet, oh hang on, isn’t that the same thing
