Yesterday was a major day for those of us who have BlackBerry smartphones and I don’t just mean the ones that have them because of the name, but those that use the phones to communicate with work colleagues and receive emails that are used for business and much more.
BlackBerry Server Crashes!!!
So yesterday the BlackBerry server in Slough crashed causing services in Europe, the Middle East and Africa to have some down town, 20 hours to be exact, and this caused problems for those using their BlackBerry phones for emails and messaging etc that run on the RIM server.

If you are one the 12,000 that do follow me on Twitter, @BlazingMinds, will see that when I tweet from my mobile I do use Twitter for BlackBerry as this has always been my preferred Twitter app for the BlackBerry platform, but, with the latest update to version 2.0.0.11 it has been terrible lately.

So it’s been just over a year since I grabbed my new Twitter name of @BlazingMinds and boy has the time flown!
I’ve now had my Twitter since the 15th February and it’s been a brilliant first year on Twitter, yes there has been times when I thought my follower count wasn’t even going to make it past the 2,000 mark, but now, after promoting my blog posts, following some brilliant Tweeters and becoming more accustomed to using my Twitter, I’ve broken the 10,000 mark.
Reading loads of Twitter Tips across the internet has been interesting, with some people have totally different ideas to getting followers than others, with some saying following everyone back while some say only follow those that you find of interest or those that are in your own niche!

This is a sponsored post, it is written by myself and 100% my own opinion. Now those of us in the UK have may have seen the next generation in the "Yell" adverts on TV, the character of J R Hartley from some years back looking for his copy of Fly Fishing has now given way to the new Character of Day V Lately looking for copy of a music track of his. If you have seen the advert than you will probably now that the track is called Pulse & Thunder which is a vintage piece of 90s dance history. Now what you may not know is that there are actually ten copies hidden away in music shops nationwide and if you actually find a copy then you are in with a chance of winning £10,000 worth of prizes. There are loads of prizes in this give away including a 55” Sony 3D TV, a surround sound system, decks, mixing lessons, to mention just a few – together worth an amazing £10,000.

So How Can You Enter The Yell Golden Ticket Competition?
It's really quite simple to enter the competition, download the YELL app for your Android or iPhone or even visit Yell.com and search the vinyl section for Day V Lately track Pulse & Thunder take a picture of it and tag it YELL and upload it to facebook.com/yell, it's really that simple Then you sit back and wait to see if you are one of the lucky ones that is in the running for some of the amazing prizes.
The YELL App
I've had a go with the App myself and via the website myself, it's fun looking for music shops that sell vinyl, believe me there's not that many I actually found the YELL app for my BlackBerry and it's really good, it's certainly one of those apps that will come in usefuly, now that I've got it installed, it's so quick and simple to use, none of this mucking about with heaven knows how many settings, it's ready as soon as it's ran, it also works out where you are, this is ideal for finding those "local services" So get yourselves in with a chance and enter the competition as soon as you can, good luck

Yesterday I decided it was about time I upgraded the Operating System on my BlackBerry Curve 8520 as it was running version 4.6.1.465, so it was time to upgrade to version 5.
So I loaded up my BlackBerry Desktop Software, plugged in my BlackBerry and followed the on-screen instructions to upgrade the OS in my BlackBerry, now this took a while as my BlackBerry was backed up and then had 920 or so modules downloaded and installed, then the screen informed me that I could unplug my BlackBerry Curve from my computer and get going.
Great everything working fine, then my Curve 8520 wanted to restart as some of the apps need to update, ok restart and reboot it is. Or is it!!!!
PANIC! As My BlackBerry Curve Would Not Boot After An OS Upgrade
The screen on my BlackBerry stayed black and the LED started flashing three times then stopped for a while and then flashed 3 times again, the first thing that went through my mind was “OMG! I’ve killed my BlackBerry, what the hell am I going to do now!”
