Those of you who do read Blazing Minds often will know that the blog has now been going for just over 3 years and has grown to a point of almost being known for not only the flame haired avatar but also for the diverse amounts of subjects that are posted on the blog.

So now the time has come to look forward and hope that all the work that myself, the guest bloggers and you the reader has put in to Blazing Minds has started to help and pay off. Now some time back I was reading though the blog over at BlogEngage about a contest that was being run “Four $50 USD prizes to win at blogengage“, it’s also where I noticed that Brian was using RaffleCopter to run the competition, which I do like the look of and may use it myself sooner or later, anyway I digress.

Its been a fantastic year for the Blazing Minds blog and over the past 12 months the blog has grown in its popularity with more commentators stopping by, some amazing guest bloggers producing some very interesting and informative posts and recently a loss of the blog due to it becoming so popular that I had to upgrade its hosting, big thanks to Tim @EvoHosting for sorting that one out for me

So you must have seen the blog post I made about the @ApolloCinemas Winter Weekend that I posted up recently, well it was a great day, but the surprise came when I was asked if I wouldn’t mind being interviewed about my film reviews and my blog!

Surprised! You’re Not Kidding!

Suffice to say I was really surprised that anyone would find my blogging exploits of any interest, but Craig from Apollo Cinemas got me upstairs and sat down to be interviewed on @PointFMRhyl. My nerves were all over the place as I sat down with a microphone in my hand waiting to go LIVE on local radio!

But I do have to say that I was put at ease and besides my voice blasting out through the Apollo Cinema foyer and outside above the sound of the fun fair and across the car park, it was fun.

Ok folks you may have seen the new logo already, specially on my Twitter (@BlazingMinds), but I thought it was time to introduce you all to the new Blazing Minds logo that has been designed by TheraisaK.

Why Get A New Logo?

Since starting Blazing Minds over three years ago, I have used the same image and thought it was about time that I had my own custom logo that everyone will see and hopefully come to love.

So I got in touch with TheraisaK, who also designed the new @SlappyBear logo as well, asked her to design a logo for Blazing Minds, that kept in the spirit of the red-haired avatar that everyone was used to and the result is something that I personally think is brilliant.

I must say a big, big thanks to Theraisa for the brilliant work that she has done on not only the Blazing Minds, but also on the Slappy Bear Logo as well. I think both look far better than what I originally had

Bigger, Bolder & Better Apollo Cinema Rhyl

So a couple of weeks a go, I received a special invite from Alison Hogarth to attend a special evening at The Apollo Cinema Rhyl, how could I say no!

Last night was the night and arriving at the cinema at just gone 6PM and checking my name was down on the exclusive guest list, I was given a goody bag and went straight to the bar
