To some when you mention DragonBlogger they will say “What!” But to the majority of well-travelled bloggers out in the world they will reply with “Ah yes, that’s Justin’s brilliant blog“.

I’ve read DragonBlogger for some time now and the information that comes from the blog is second to none.

It’s one of the first places that I visit to find out about some of the tech that’s coming our way, movie reviews and much more, but not only that, DragonBlogger has great collection of article of other subjects and not one post goes by that is not interesting.

If you’ve read Blazing Minds for a while you may have noticed the interview that I did with @DrRus and @GeneralSarge for my Blogger Interviews, “General Sarge A Build-a-Bear with A Blog“, so I thought it was about time that I did a review of the blog itself.

One of the things that really appeals to me about the General Sarge blog is that fact that it’s all done with a passion, right from the early blog posts you can see that the blog is written with passion and the love for what is happening on the blog and the chronicles of General Sarge himself and of cause his ower Ben.

So what’s it all about then?

“The Chronicles of General Sarge…… PVT. Benjamin Jeffrey’s Build-A-Bear”, to give the blog its full title is a wonderful blog that follows the adventures of the Build-a-Bear, General Sarge, and was created by Rus Jeffery as a way of coping with fact that his 18-year-old son Ben is in the army, General Sarge is actually Ben’s bear and while Ben is in the Army, General Sarge is keeping busy and blogging about what’s happening.

In the world of blogging and certainly in my world of blogging, I wanted a separate blog for my random thoughts and strange things and after being introduced by @bbrian017 over at BlogEngage to BloggingWire I decided to use that.

All was going well until the last few days when the site seems to have vanished, including all my posts and work gone into yet another blog!

At first I thought it may be just me who couldn’t access BloggingWire, but today I checked the site using the website “Down For Everyone But Me” and lo and behold, it’s not just me!

It’s not just you! http://bloggingwire.com looks down from here.

As you can see from the response above the site is certainly down, but does anyone know why, upon visiting BloggingWire I constantly get a “403″ error.

This is a real shame as BloggingWire did seem a pretty good site for hosting a free blog, yes I know there are other alternative, but it’s the simple fact of losing all the posts that I had written using the site that is so annoying.

So are you also a BloggingWire user? Have you discovered that your blog has vanished?

Now this was some awesome news for me and my blog as my post “Blazing Minds Gets A Sudden Boost of Traffic” got the number one spot in a list of articles posted on the brilliant Blog Engage.

Every week Brian (@bbrian017) on Blog Engage lists the weekly top articles (voted by the Blog Engage members)  in a weekly blog post and though I have been listed several times, I’ve never hit that elusive number one spot, until now.

So I proudly grabbed the rosette from Blog Engage and updated the post with it, to show how happy and proud of hitting that spot I am, ok it’s taken me a couple of days to post about it, but I’ve been so busy lately, this is the first chance I’ve had

I’d like to thank everyone who voted for me the other week and helped me hit the top spot, it is very, very much appreciated and without those of you over at Blog Engage voting for me then I wouldn’t have made it there.

Since joining Blog Engage I’ve met some awesome bloggers that go out of their way to help other bloggers, it has  strong community and is one of the best places for a bloggers needs.

Right I’m off to do a bit of Blog Engage voting myself now, see you there

It has been announced on the Official Blog Engage Blog that it has closed its registrations and is now only allowing invited members, this was bound to happen as the community has grown since it started.

Blog Engage is one of the best sites to get your blog seen, commented on and generally improve you experience in the blogosphere, its members get to submit their article for other to view and vote on and then you can also do the same vote on new articles, comment on them at Blog Engage and on the actually blog.

If your answer is yes then you need to join, there are two ways to become a member of BlogEngage.

• Join the Blog Forums and request an invitation by posting.
• Know a friend on the inside. All members have the opportunity to send you an invitation.

I’ve been a member of BlogEngage since August 2009 and have found some great blogs to read and met new friends along the way, so it’s a brilliant blogging community, one of which I highly recommend.
