This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Eye-Fi. All opinions are 100% mine.

It’s the same old story! Hunt for the USB for my digital camera, plug it in the computer to download all the photos and then run the camera battery down half way through, or even worse leave the camera for months without uploading the photos on to the computer, so all those wonderful holiday photos from months ago are just sitting and waiting to be uploaded.

Now if I had Eye-Fi SD card then things would be so much easier to upload onto my computer and onto the internet, what’s an Eye-Fi I hear you ask.

It’s an SD card with a difference it’s Wi-Fi enabled, simple use the SD card in your camera to take photos, video etc, the Eye-Fi comes as a 4GB card with will give you a mass of storage and enables you to seamlessly transfer your treasured moments to your computer and favourite web sharing site (like Flickr & Facebook).

Not only will it transfer your information, but, it also backs up your photos and videos onto your computer in to date based folders for easy access, great for finding shots that you took on a certain date.

Also another handy feature is you can share your photos without having your computer turned, crazy I know, all you need is an SDHC capable camera and a wireless router, now how cool is that!

I know that this is a gadget that is certainly going to be in my camera very soon and is going to make photo transfer a lot quicker and easier on my part.

Want to see the the Eye-Fi in action?

So it was time to get a new digital camera after my trusty Olympus FE-170 decided to give up, it was time for a new camera and I chose to go for Fujifilm camera this time and went for the Finepix J250, I’ve used Fujifilm cameras in the past and have been happy with the results…

The Finepix J250 boasts 10 mega pixels and has a wider lens giving you great shots of landscapes and squeezing more of your view into the photo, the camera also has auto Scene Recognition, which when selected, will automatically work out the right settings for your photo, such as landscape, macro, portrait etc. It has a clear 3-inch high resolution LCD screen, 5x Zoom and a Fujinon 28mm wide angle lens.

Another great feature is the face recognition, the J250 will pin point the faces in the shot and set up the shot to keep the face crisp and clean giving you the perfect portrait shots, it also has image stabilization and a high ISO of 1600.

So is the Fujifilm Finepix J250 camera easy to use?

Putting it simply, yes, it’s just a case of turning on the camera and clicking the button the J250 does all the work for you, though I must say that the macro option could be a tad better, but this is a mid-range camera.

In the box you get a rechargeable battery and charger, hand strap, USB cable, FinePixViewer software and the cameras manual on CD-Rom.

You will have to buy a memory card for the camera and this one use SD and SDHC card, I purchased a 2GB card and in normal mode using 10Mega Pixels the card will take around 792 phots and in fine mode is will take around 401, there is also an option to go down to 9Mega Pixels and take photos in a 3:2 ratio which is the same ratio as 35mm film shots, you can go right down to a 2Mega Pixel setting which will give you 2947 shots on a 2GB card, but why you would want to go down to that quality I’m not sure..

The menus on the Finepix J250 are clear and simple to use, which makes it great for getting the camera to work as soon as you turn it on.

The camera also has video with sound capabilities, the recording image is quite good though the sound is poor unless you are close to the sound source, but this is a camera and not a video camera, so it’s really just an added bonus to have the feature.

Overall I would recommend this camera if you are upgrading from a lower Mega Pixel camera and want something that is not too cheap and not too expensive, so I would give the Fujifilm Finepix J250 a 4 out of 5..
