I don’t usually post twice a day, but this really got my goat, so I had to vent my thoughts.
Now I really can’t believe what is wrong with Hollywood at the moment, they seem to be going through a phase of remaking virtually every film they can think of and now they have decided to remake The Crow!
It is supposed to be directed by Stephen Norrington who directed The League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen, I personally think and I hope I’m right in think that fans of The Crow and Brandon Lee will agree with me that Alex Proyas’ version of the movie is the best and shouldn’t be defiled!
What the hell is wrong with them, they should leave The Crow as it is, bo remakes, no re-cuts, nothing. The Crow should be left as a homage to Brandon Lee, the film sees Brandon at his best and should be left in his honour, I mean it was bad enough that the film spawned three sequels and a dyer series.
Come on Hollywood, get your act together and come up with something original and no, I don’t mean a re-working of The Crow it perfect as is.

It amazes me that with the cheap price of films on DVD these days that people still decide to watch pirated versions of the films, but why?
I was talking to someone recently who had just got around ten films off someone they knew of some of the latest movies in the cinema, so I asked why? Why would you watch films that are so bad in quality it’s like going back to the days of videos?
Their answer was this, “There free!”
But what about the quality, wouldn’t it be better to see them in the cinema or wait for them to come out on DVD, I got the same answer.
My personal point of view is that I would rather see a film in the cinema in glorious surround sound and great picture quality, or wait for the DVD and watch it on a 38inch HD tv with Cinema sound than sit there and watch a film with a crappy picture, muffled sound and the odd occasion hearing people ask if they would like some more popcorn.

I can’t believe how quick films come out on DVD these days, I just had an email from Play.com to let me know that Hellboy 2 is now ready to pre-order for it’s release on 8th December, it doesn’t seem that long since we went to see it in the cinema, any how, I’ve pre-ordered my copy along with Iron Man, Batman: The Dark Knight and Indiana Jones 4
A few for myself from myself for Christmas
I’ll be running out of space for DVDs before long, a friend asked me the other night, “how come you’ve got so many DVDs?” and before I could answer she said, “Oh you’ve got Sky, no wonder you’ve got so many there is never anything worth watching on Sky, it’s all repeats” nuff said
